Unions served a purpose at one time

Trade unions still do. Construction workers are hired out of the union hall and register for work there too. Companies call and hire off the register.

You literally have to take the next guy on the list though, regardless of how bad he/she may be.

In no way would I ever want a union representing me. I can do better on my own merit than being represented by a bunch of ne'er do wells that need job security.

Unions always fall to the lowest common denominator and are no place for anyone with ambition to work. If you have ambition, do NOT join a union.

Responsible for delivering the most high revenue interactions virtually regardless of quality.

But she loves it.
Not the criterion, Rog. Many of us work in high stress fields and love what we do. Has your ex ever had a peds patient die in her care, wondering for nights if there was anything she overlooked? Care to guess how often that happens to a Hosp CEO?

The CEO is responsible for everything that happens in that hospital.

If you value sleep and your personal time, dont become a CEO.

If that were true, 95%+ of Hosp CEOs would be fired this evening.

Yes we do.

But you'll never have as much stress as an officer for a major company.

There isn’t actually a shortage of nurses. Even the largest nursing union says you are wrong.

Roger, our Hospital CEOs sleep at home while clinicians pull all-nighters. Our hospital CEOs spend weekends on the golf course, when clinicians are fielding emergencies 24/7. Our CEOs meet with executive medical staff after hours in executive sessions ... the same medical staff taking call and covering w/e's. CEOs wouldn't want to sniff a busy clinicians schedule.

She constantly shills for more pay for female dominated jobs.

I guess she doesnt realize that sitting around waiting for a union or the Gubment to give you a raise is a losers game.

If you have any enterprising bone in your body, avoid Unions.

So for those of you that work or have worked for a union based system, are you required to be part of the union? My wife voted against the union but it obviously still passed. Is she required to participate and pay union dues?

In some states, yes.

Not in Louisiana.
