It is true.

Trust me, my feelings aren't hurt. I've seen more in hospitals than you could imagine. You don't know anything and I can tell you're in way over your head. I'll let you go on though, you seem to have it all figured out. Like I said earlier, I don't believe in unions but things are way out of line. I think CEOs can afford to work for more reasonable salaries if they are going to demand that everyone beneath them work for reasonable wages...and some employees they ask for them to work for damn near nothing

that would warrant paying a nurse a 7-figure per year salary?

Then the hospital will get sued for medical malpractice. If the policy “gets the patient killed”—not sure how that works exactly when a patient should be cared for by doctors and nurses, not a policy—then the CEO will be removed.

A master's in administration
Not necessary.
Nurses make 100k here mid career.
But some people hire on at a place then want to force them to pay more money. Sounds like a loser.

Well, I understand managements responsibility and why they make the money they do, and you dont.
So I got that going for me.

So she can still operate as if nothing happened and pay no dues knowing that she also is not represented. Any blowback for that?

I’m fine with this as long as they made a TikTok video where they lip sync and dance first.

My workplace is, just not for management.
You end up with overpaid, underworked entitled people who constantly complain about money without realizing their own union situation is why they cant rise above inflation.

I get the sense that many of you demonizing the CEO and upper management are perpetually disgruntled employees. The CEO is ultimately responsible though for allowing toxic employees like you to stay employed in an organization.

My guess too.

I can’t speak for them all, but the OP undoubtedly wouldn’t make it in a field not protected by a government backed union.

quote:Perfect example of Hosp Administrative incompetence. ED RNs, Crit Care RNs, Med-Surg RNs during CV19 worked their butts off in high risk, high stress environments. Meanwhile, RNs staffing elective arenas, OPT surgery, etc had nothing to do. Instead of Admins pooling resources to offload work inequities, in many instances they actually encouraged the TikTok bullshite "to keep underworked staff occupied" and "improve morale."
I’m fine with this as long as they made a TikTok video where they lip sync and dance first.
No words for how out-of-touch those policies were.

With the type of people in the NO workforce, the last thing I'd want is to be in a unionized hospital for care. Worthless garbage entitled people being more entitled is going to kill people and the hospital is going to be blamed not the union or the unionized worker.
If a worker wants to be unionized them and the union she be held responsible for the workers mistake(s).
