It does seem like there should be face protection. Even that dude is skinny is much stronger than those girls still.

Mine wouldn't be on the field at the same time. My family knows I will pull them from the game/team if this is done. Same goes for if a girl is playing on the boys team. Can't teach boys to respect and "not hit girls" and accept girls being treated like boys/men in the name of sports.
On a brighter note regarding this topic, looks like some Loudon County VA students are looking to show the adults what maturity is.

Don't know the sport but is the ball in the air at face level normal? If the ball is hard enough to knock teeth out and slapping it in the air so high is apart of the game, then one would think they would be wearing heavily padded uniforms too.

Thats the deal. It's a female sport (wealthy white girl, specifically) and men should not be playing.
It is actually illegal to lift the ball like that. A "High Ball " (a ball above the knees) results in a penalty. This is why they play with no pads and skirts. It's typically not a thing.*

Ok so after watching quick moments of the game in the video posted, it seems like keeping the ball on the ground is majority of the game. So don't know if the tranny getting the ball in the air was abnormal or not, but it does seem that these girls don't have a concern for this to happen, as they are bent over moving the ball, so the ball in the air high enough to reach her face may be abnormal. Did he slapstick it like in ice hockey?

First of all, I think boys playing in girls sports is ridiculous.
That said, I’ve seen some female lacrosse players that could kick that dudes arse.

Ok, didn't know if boys leagues popped out of them. Always saw that in the NE lacrosse was for boys, and field hockey for girls. Sports created when we have proper decorum regarding the differences between the sexes.
Now there are plenty of girl lacrosse leagues too, so didn't know if boys had their own FH leagues.

Thanks for that. I don't know the sport, but know sports enough to grasp general rules by just watching a little bit. And the uniforms, with lack of padding was definitely a dead give away on the "high ball" potentially not being normal.
I got a young niece looking at picking up the sport soon, so good to know.

Yep. I have never been involved in the sport. Just had that small connection.
There are no states where boys field hockey is sanctioned and no colleges nor the NCAA has men's field hockey. This is a sport specifically for girls with no boys equal (there is women's lacrosse).
Here are highlights from North Carolina winning the natty. You can see what the game is like at a high level. The ball does not go above the knees.
