So the FBI says. We don't know the circumstances of that alleged admission. We will never know if he were induced to confess in exchange for waiving other charges.

We will never get answers to logical questions about possible co-ordination. None of the FBI's alleged evidence will see the light of day, much less be examined.

They have already set the tone by saying that Cole said he was "relieved" that the bombs didn't detonate. Get ready for a shockingly low sentence in his plea deal. "He was a sweet kid. He just got swept up in that dangerous rhetoric that Trump and his supporters were spewing about the election being stolen."

Just as with the Secret Service and the police at the DNC when the "bomb" was "discovered," it's the knowledge that there wasn't any actual danger which is so suspicious.

If the authorities thought Cole were an actual bomber who posed a threat, why wouldn't they arrest him when he couldn't get access to his super duper REALLY dangerous bomb materials in his home?

Here...without clearing the neighbors...through a bull horn, they just demanded that the occupants of the house come out. Why risk harm to others? Grab him when he coming home from work or some other safe situation.

You’re overthinking this.

I'm not convinced there is a conspiracy here. I'm equally skeptical of the Twitter influencers and the FBI/official narrative.

But the "peaceful borderline disabled black nerd who hates both parties and admitted to the most vague, non-partisan, non-ideological motive possible" is certainly not going to be terribly convincing to anyone with doubts.

This not fitting any preconceived notions makes it even more believable to me.

Certainly possible. It wouldn't be the first time:)

I'm not convinced of anything one way or the other. I'm just frustrated that we can't get answers to basic questions...or even have those questions acknowledged.

I watched this Kyle Seraphin (whom I am iffy about) and Steve Baker (from Shreveport, whom I respect...not just because he's a North Louisiana baw) video. Both of them think that Brian Cole, Jr. is innocent.

Having watched the video, I am still up in the air, but two points came out so that I now think Cole might actually be guilty. First, his confession is part of a 4 hour session that was caught on video. Second, he explained how he made the bombs.

The confession alone will be sufficent to establish probable cause.

This can be fairly called a “slam-dunk” case.

Learning that the confession was on video inclined me that way. The only defenses are going to be that, he was coerced because:
1) he denied involvement for the first two hours (he was broken down), and
2) his autistic condition made him a people pleaser
