"Toyota is committed to supporting and promoting actions that further our democracy. Our company has long-standing relationships with Members of Congress across the political spectrum, especially those representing our U.S. operations. "Our bipartisan PAC equally supports Democrats and Republicans running for Congress. In fact, in 2021, the vast majority of the contributions went to Democrats and Republicans who supported the certification of the 2020 election. We understand that the PAC decision to support select Members of Congress who contested the results troubled some stakeholders. We are actively listening to our stakeholders and, at this time, we have decided to stop contributing to those Members of Congress who contested the certification of certain states in the 2020 election."

The real issue here is why are candidates allowed to take contributions from a foreign-owned company?

After being pressured on social media by the mob.

I swear the social media crowd is weaponized by the DNC. Whenever The Party needs to redirect attention somewhere or go after someone on some issue, they enlist bot services and other media companies to perpetuate talking points on social media platforms.

Blogs and other news sites pick up on this story, and more of the mob joins in until the desired result is achieved.

It's all a game.

Are they going after the losers who whined about Muh Rushins for 5 years and challenged the 2016 results?

Hopefully they will also look back at the Dems who apposed certification in 2016. Would be a shame if there was a double standard

Why don't they just say "Toyota will contribute only to the Communist Party" AKA the Democratic Party? I thought big business was Republican, I guess they want more socialism.

Toyota employs more Americans than Ford and GM combined...

And that probably doesn't count all of the suppliers that move in wherever a Toyota plant is built. I'd say close to a dozen major manufacturers came in with Toyota in NE Mississippi.

The big banks forced them to do this. The left will one day find out big finance is using them also.

So, are they going to pull donations from the ones that did it in 2016? 2000? 2004?

They get the crabs-in-the-bucket to fight over issues like race, sexism, made up climate change while they grab more of the pie for themselves.
