What does it have to do with voting?

Or are you defining "democracy" like a Leftist and letting it be whatever you want for whatever discussion you're in?

Go re-read the Federalist Papers. Our actual electoral system is specifically designed to minimize impact of emotional ploys like protesting and the mob rule that results from it.

They've tried it your way. The media runs interference and more of their kids get groomed.

Theyre going to use the guns as paper weights for strongly worded complaints to politicians already dead set on bringing in more Muslims.

How TF else do you think guns are used?

I didn't want to be accused of using a straw man so I wanted you to define the framing.

So you mean they're going to use guns to kill illegal immigrants?

Classic SFP.

Steer the argument to where you want it to go, not where it is.

Don't you think you need to add more context? Where did the "child grooming" complaint go?

Me asking you to defend (well, explain is better) your point is not steering.

You're just making conclusory statements and ad hom attacks without a logical response.

Here is how this went:

upgrayedd: I'm right
SFP: how?
upgrayedd: I'M RIGHT
SFP: can you even articulate the point you're trying to make?
upgrayedd: STOP TRYING TO DIVERT THE DISCUSSION

I literally just asked you to do exactly this. Twice.

So I will let you "add context" for the third time:

quote:

How do you plan on using guns in "self defense", exactly?

I’ll say it.

Britain’s only hope for survival is a strong fascist leader. Robinson needs to win over the military who matter and take back what is theirs.

Glad we are not there.

Yet.

I added the context of having to deal with grooming gangs.

You immediately drop that context and ask me if I'm talking about dealing with illegal immigrants.

Stop playing dumb.

I get it and won’t dispute because I don’t know the history. I’m just saying I can see how a lot of little things like I described, over time, could lead to someone being “reviled”.

That adds no context to how you plan on using the guns.

This is a thread about illegal immigration.

Your initial reply was to my post stating

quote:

Guns won't win this political debate

"This political debate" = illegal immigration

I said redressing of grievances is a part of democracy then you went on a diatribe about voting and then you said I didn’t explain anything

Again, classic SFP when he’s in pure argument winning mode.

I have remained politically consistent.

Many on here shift their political stances. So they were Bush republicans, then Romney Republicans, then Tea Party, then Tea Party 2.0, and now MAGA.

So in that period of self-identification as "smaller government", my stances were quite popular.

However, now that MAGA is the groupie identification du jour, my intellectual consistency faces exactly what you are describing.

It got worse around 2019 when the Q thread blew up and we got a huge influx of random posters. It REALLY amplified the pattern you're describing both by adding people to the echo chamber and lowering the IQ of the general participant. The emotional increase of Q and losing in 2020 amplified it again.

This phenomenon with me didn't really start until 2019-2020.
