What I find really funny about this shutdown...the only interview I've seen with an "affected worker" was one of the most obviously partisan LibTards making typical off the wall generalizations. Only other one I've seen come close was a psycho housewife of a govt. employee interviewed whining about cutting back (probably specifically about the bonbons while watching afternoon TV) and they edited her interview cutting off mid sentence.

The ONLY effect of government shutdowns is to show the country how little a government shut down actually affects them (unless you work for the Fedgov). 40% of the FedGov workers currently on "delayed paid vacation" could go on a permanent vacation and it wouldn't change a thing other than saving the FedGov a good chunk of money
