It's all tribalism and silliness. The clown car is seemingly endless and the extreme left and right has taken over. I don't care for it at all really.

But as Carville said, "It's the economy, stupid!" And as of now it's going great, and I'll vote for Trump 2020 if the trend continues.

Unfortunately, I'll probably be the only one in Illinois doing so

Bra-fricking-Vo... Have an up vote my friend. I am so sick of the whining over his words while they disregard all of the worded attacks against him...

I don't like the Democrats or the Republican Party.

Trump is really neither, so I'll vote for him.

Years ago, I hated the smug, holier than thou attitude a lot of Republicans had concerning conservative issues, but the Democrats have become worse.

I also couldn't stand conservative talk shows like Rush Limbaugh, but today's liberal MSM is far worse.

You can always tell which politicians are in it for power and money, and not in it to better the United States' citizens. Without politics, their world crumbles. They have nothing to fall back on. Looking at our political landscape today, the left epitomizes the career politician that can't make it in the real world. Without politics, Trumps a businessman. He has a life outside of politics, which tells me he is not doing this to further his career, because he doesn't need it. The left does. I will be voting for Trump, as will my entire family, who grew up in a democrat household.

So, Trump, who goes to his resorts every other weekend and has to get rooms for all staff and detail that goes with him, is not in it for the money? C’mon man.

The Dems have come full circle, actually. They're now the party of chastity, but instead of the Christian conservative mantra to "save yourself until marriage" it's "all sex is rape."

Trump wouldn't have been possible in 2016 if the Republican Party hadn't already destroyed itself.

My problem with people like you is this. Who gives a frick if you don’t like his style. Talk is cheap, look at his actions. Results are the only thing that matters.
and MY problem with people like YOU is your inability to grasp that the 2016 GOP primaries offered several options FAR superior to Donald Trump. Individuals with better policy positions and WITHOUT his personality defects.

I suspect he would trail Patrick by 10 points or more, so I would vote LPA.

Not entirely incorrect. But they did nothing to energize a largely lethargic conservative population. It is a popularity contest in the end. I'm a Cruz fan bigly. Would have loved to see him win and I voted for him in the primary. He didn't have what it took to speak to Joe normal. I'm a firm believer that any "charismatic" outsider would have swept the floor with the established politicians in 2016.

If Republicans actually followed through with the values they run on (lower taxes, lower spending, less gov, etc.) I would firmly be a Republican. But they don't so I'm not. The 2 parties are almost one in the same at this point.

I understand the sentiment about the Republicans and agree on you with it to a large extent. The problem is what happens if Sanders or Warren get in the White House and actually follow through with the values they run on.

Maybe you could argue that four or eight years ago there was not a big difference between the parties but you can't today. Show me a Republican in favor of free Medicare for illegal immigrants. Show me a Republican in favor of a wealth tax. Show me a Republican campaigning on socialism. Show me a Republican campaigning on legalizing abortion up to and including birth. Yes, the Republicans seem to do very little of the right things but the Democrats seem hell bent today on doing a lot of the wrong things. I would rather have a political party that does nothing instead of the right things than a political party that does the wrong things instead of nothing.

Actually I voted for Cruz in the primary ContrarianHank.

But you can bet your arse I voted for Trump in the general and will again in 2020. I don’t give a frick what he says on Twitter or any interview. I care what he does as president, and he’s doing a fantastic job.

Your “Holier than thou” Schlick if fricking tiresome. frick off.

Conservatives and Liberals, at this current standard, are missing the point. The far left and the far right are too busy at each other’s throats and trying to win the argument or make themselves look bad to see the problem

None of these politicians give a single frick about you or me. Maybe Trump was trying to drain the swamp but it hasn’t happened. It never will. Politicians, in their current form, are the greediest sacks of shite on the planet and it’s hilarious to me people on both sides actually think they’re out to help the middle class American. Until conservatives stop seeing liberals as the enemy and liberals stop viewing conservatives are the enemy, things will never get any better

When the left stops trying to flood this country with third world voters to seize power indefinitely, I’ll stop considering them the enemy.

When the left stops calling me a racist for voting for politicians that share my views, I’ll stop considering them the enemy.

You need to wake the frick up.

We need less twitters in chief and Senator Twitter and Representative Twitter and Chief Justice Twitter.

I vote for all things not twitter.

Data analytics is fricking up the world. The idea that an original thought can't be had anymore is scary. Actually it is just people that are scary, especially assholes that are manipulative to the ignorant masses. That has become 75% of politics these days maybe more.

Thanks for once again exhibiting your “holier than thou” attitude.

You’re an insufferable prick.
