Let's take a moment to recognize how insulting this is to her voter base and democrat voters in general. She, and other members of congress, thinks so little dem voters that she would even propose such a thing. You basically have to assume your voters have the intellect of children. I understand that there's a segment of dem voters that are functionally retarded, but those that aren't should feel slighted.

How is this relevant to a discussion about the US? Secondly, most European countries have a minimum wage under 20/hr US...which again has no real significance to this discussion.
You think every US worker should get a pay bump or that people should spend 4 years in school so they can get paid same as a waiter? What impact would all this have on the economy?

I once laughed at these absurd minimum wage bills and thoughts. I own a small business where I have 75% of my products built in Illinois. They just passed the $15/hr min wage. My manufacturer will have to go from $8.50/hr to $15. Its very simple manual labor and I have done everything I can to compete in my industry by staying with American made products where 90% fo my competitors are over seas
They must go from $8.50 to $10 next January then $1/hr per year for 5 years to get to $15.
Huge impact for me since there are very few companies in the US that do what these guys do. IT is also a very low margin product.

Why don't these dolts exercise a moment of clear thought for economics? You have to seriously question their mental aptitude for reason and a general understanding of how business actually operates to start throwing out figures.
