Do you support planned parenthood getting the added/special police protection it often does?

Providing security for a private event cool with you?

Should the state provide security at movie theaters? Malls? Retail stores? Daycares? Where do you draw the line?
Cubbies, I appreciate your questions...but, I think others have amply stated why private education is different: the state mandates school attendance and private school parents still pay taxes for public education.
Don't you see those distinctions? The state doesn't mandate our children to attend theaters or require us to pay theater taxes.
Many states have elected to provide such funding. Like other states, Minnesota elected not to do so.

Good luck using common sense with this clown.

The government pays $11.6 billion in security for public entities Delta, United, American, and Southwest.

Maybe you can ask the government to provide you armed security against my posts. For the children.

I'm predicting that Cubbies doesn't answer this question.....

I know most of y'all have that view of her, but I don't have that impression. This distinction is a good test case.

Ehhh, should the government subsidize all private organizations?
A Catholic elementary school is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) controlled by FEMA could provide funding for this very reason. I mean…if you think it’s worth it or not I guess is a different topic.

She’s being purposefully obtuse, or maybe she cant comprehend, I think it’s the former. Cops are sent out all the time to private events and gatherings, especially mega churches, they aren’t supposed to be selective in the citizens they are supposed to ‘protect and serve’.

Those parents pay t tuition to send their children to private schools
Those parents also pay to send others children’s tuition to go to public schools

Yes. I think we know how property taxes work.

Did the police show up at the school when they were called? What’s your problem?

Is your position that private entities can't get grants?
Fully support private entities receiving grants if they are eligible for them. According to the MN Constitution, religious schools can't receive public money, so taxpayer funded grants wouldn't work. Privately funded grants would work though. Perhaps Catholic Charities could refocus some of their migrant attention onto Catholic schoolkids?
quote:
Constitutional Provision: “In no case shall any public money or property be
appropriated or used for the support of schools wherein the distinctive doctrines,
creeds or tenets of any particular Christian or other religious sect are
promulgated or taught” (Minn. Const. art. XIII, § 2).

Pretty much every org that applies for this grant is awarded it, too.

I’m not familiar with this but I don’t support taxes paying for the overhead of private organizations.
