Talked to my dad who works at the airport , they had several THOUSAND containers of cargo just sitting everywhere at the hub in Memphis .

I asked how many do they normally have.. he said just a handful that aren’t being processed .

Nobody could get to work up there . And they are staggeringly behind to the likes he’s never seen

UPS is not doing any better.

I don't even want to think about the Pony Express.

I can promise you every national shipping company had major issues this week.

You know...the massive cold storm? Remember that? Yea...effects companies like Fed Ex.

I work in the logistics industry and also deal with customs clearances. Our customers that use Fed Ex were still getting parcels last week (and yes ones routed through Memphis).

With weather events like this there can be 1-2 day delays. But judging by the # of days and the excuses listed I can tell you from experience they lost the parcel.

Fed Ex and the other parcel services lose parcels all the time. Usually they find it within the same day or 2-3 days later then you see the tracking moving again. If you follow up and complain or ask for a warehouse sweep it can sometimes speed up the finding by a day.

They almost NEVER want to admit they lost it which is when you start getting fed the BS reasons that keep changing. That is the red flag.

As I mentioned above, they usually do eventually find it so your parcel will make it at some point.

FedEx is an accident waiting to happen.

Seems like in those icy road multi-car pileup videos there is always a Fed Ex rig involved.

Dude if you didn’t know there were delays in Memphis last week you’re a complete fricking moron and you get everything you deserve.

FedEx hub is Memphis
Ups is Atlanta
DHL doesn’t do domestic
And Usps lol

The problem is that the people that actually work in the Memphis hub, could not safely make it to and from work. Due to icy roads.
There are an estimated 2 to 5 million packages yet to be sorted. They are sitting in containers at the Memphis hub.

I'm a sort manager for Fed Ex Ground.

We have only had a few hubs nationally open. I had to cut down employees every day last week to an absurd degree because we had nothing coming in. Our yard was empty as hell it was crazy.

I know during morning sort Mon to Fri I only kept 40 on load and unload each, and they worked less than half a shift..we usually have around 130 on each for my sort.

So if a package is not there...its because it has been chaos trying to get things back up and running nationally. We can't control the snow homie. Not how this works.
