The SAVE America Act, which requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register for federal elections and photo ID to vote, passed the House in February 2026 but stalls in the Senate needing 60 votes to beat a filibuster. Trump demands attaching it to FISA Section 702 reauthorization, a lapsed foreign surveillance tool, threatening a veto otherwise, while Thune prioritizes quick FISA renewal ahead of summer events. Conservatives like Sen. Mike Lee push workarounds such as a talking filibuster, but Democrats call SAVE voter suppression that could block millions of eligible voters, heightening tensions with midterms approaching..

Personal gain is the most likely explanation for some of the decisions by congress members.
There was a good thread the other day mapping out how congressional stock trading and donations all flow together and are tied to their decisions because many of their decisions don’t make practical sense without that context.

Can you even imagine living somewhere and the bureaucrats want to be able to spy on you without a warrant and if you do not give them that right, a horrible, but staged, false flag event goes down because of it?
Can you imagine living in a country whereas a person does not have to prove they are a citizen of your country in order to vote?

Add to that illegal immigrants that are breaking the US laws by simply being here are counted in our census which directly determines a states number of electoral votes!!!
Our founding fathers must be disgusted.
