I would go in a heartbeat to Ukraine and get a refugeegf and some purpose in my life. A draft is just what people my age need
Plus after I’d get one of those sweet sweet tax free disability checks everybody gets and join whatever lawsuit they got against the military

Anyway, the military says that 70% of military age people today would not qualify for acceptance into any of the branches. So, how many would they have to screen just to get a few that would qualify? That being said, the Ukraine war is a political pawn for a failing administration and the American people should riot in the streets if they ever brought back the draft just for that purpose.
Thoughts on people to dodged the draft for the Vietnam War?

Americans should riot over a draft for any reason. Other than an actual attack on US soil.

It did happen in New York City during the Civil War.
The city was on fire.

Maybe they shouldn't hold political positions?
I think some contries make it mandatory every able bodied person spend a few years in the military.
- Now no country does proxy wars like the US, so I can see each side.

When I turned 18 a lot of my classmates were afraid of being drafted and going army so they enlisted in Navy or Air Force so they could have some say about their position.
I was a library nut so I had done a lot of research about numbers. When the govt said 1/3 of 1A guys would get drafted I knew they were lying because my calculations of need = no more than 20%. I took those odds and didn't get called.
When I registered for the draft the guy looked at my weight and said I was 4 lbs. from being 4-F. He asked if I took diet pills and I laughed and said 'No, it's called lack of food.'

This. Imagine how bad current society is. Then imagine you grew up in the time of Boomers who literally did whatever the government said. There was no internet, etc. to offer a different viewpoint.
55,000 died in vietnam dont know how many in Korea
probably 2 million wounded, injured by the war machine, mained for life in some way
the "forever wars" in the middle east were a continuation; and of all of those can anyone name a single justification
or any reason whatsoever to forget Eisenhower' caution of the adventuring of the military-industrial complex..
DAMN! The war protestors were right MY draft lottery number was 1... yep, FCKG 1... luckily they ended the draft that year

2/3 0f all American troops during the Vietnam War were volunteers. That is a fact. It is a liberal narrative that all these draftees were sent to Vietnam to get slaughtered.

The problem is that the 1/3 who were drafted and did not want to serve created serious management problems. That's probably going on right now in Russia's army.

A lot of people(see Bill Clinton) dodged the draft because they thought their arse was too precious to risk. That was for poor white guys, blacks and Hispanics. Although white Southerners were overrepresented
Those with Ukraine flags in their profile pics should have to be the ones the drop the H bomb or get drafted.

With recruiting levels being as shitty as they are you may see conscription. The Military is being transformed in a liberal wasteland for Trannies and effeminate dudes that need to have safe spaces when it gets too stressful.
I'm for the draft as long as they take the high school dropouts, low level criminals as cannon fodder first.
The Draft might compel people to do something with their lives rather than trying to be the next Tik Tok celebrity.

I would fight to defend my country. I wouldn't do it to defend Ukraine.
