I avoided this place like the plague when I was in the Army but now that I'm getting up there in age, I prefer the slow life in the country without neighbors. Been here almost four years now and love it.

It was a huge mistake to take refugees out of afg. I think that little care mission was probably the reason why afg pullout was so terrible. Not to mention deadlines passing, not doing anything, then acting in the last minute.

A lot of our troops don’t have solid combat experience either. They forced a lot out over the years and that’s where we hurt. Garrison life is miserable and demoralizing enough, the pullout of afg made it so much worse. Then you kick out non vax lol.

Yeah it's a good place. My dad still lives in the area. He's old but he still runs some cattle in Maries County.

Like a good football team, the team is no better than the coach that controls it.

Its that their air force is highly trained on US equipment.

On the ground they don't have any advantages.

Israel's military is designed to do one thing and one thing alone. And it's right there in the name. They are designed to defend Israel from annihilation. That's it, and that's all. Comparing the IDF to the US military is pointless.

I only know about 10 guys out of 300 from my combat deployment in 2012 who are still in. I doubt the new age with their lower physical standards will be nearly as effective

we have superior technology and equipment to everyone else

this hasnt been true since obama took office and weakened every part of our military and forced all military leaders to resign or retire and replaced them with woke pushers.

china is now the world leader in superior technology and equipment to everyone else and its not even close

Yeah I’d be interested in our budget break down on how much goes to pay and allowances vs technology and R&D. We’ve also been dumping a lot of money into basic needs on aging military installations. Along with social and diversity projects.

And to do all this, it also cuts down on actual training hours, which is the real problem.

Feel like this is a weekly question.

Short answer is Yes.

Long answers can be found in previous threads.

Present military is a joke.
Woman and most of these girly men from today couldn't have survived the basic training I went thru in 1967. The Russians could though. With ease

I served in the military and just retired after 29 years. IMO our military has been greatly diminished including training, recruiting, and leadership. Yes we have been the most dominant but that is against smaller less capable forces. We have bullied smaller countries for decades. We would 100 percent lose in a war with China and Russia and it would not be close. Our advantage has been our aircraft carriers but those are now obsolete and would be destroyed with hypersonic weapons in the first week of a true war. Also we have no manufacturing capabilities because we shipped that overseas. Much like everything else our military has been propped up with propaganda. We are a paper tiger.
Secondly and most important the script is for the west to be destroyed in order for globalist domination. Wars are scripted and ran by bankers and for their great reset to work the USA can not be the worlds super power.

The military itself is fine (once you get away from the political officers at the Pentagon). The personnel are intelligent, well trained, and highly motivated. However, moral and confidence have suffered to some degree ever since the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy enacted during the recruiting process under Clinton started us on this slippery slope of sexual/gender identification and fluidity.

Our military is just fine. It's the politicians meddling in it to turn it into a societal experiment that are screwing things up. It won't be too long before that meddling brings about real damage to preparedness and performance of our armed forces though.

I have been saying this, almost word for word, for some time now. The US military that exists in the mind of the "those who sleep peacefully in their beds at night" is a product of hollywood-like production value propaganda.
