Why are you posting a DU meme of letting the tears flow?
Because I find this latest tempest in a teapot between Massie and Trump extremely amusing and I thought that the goofy, 3rd rate rip-off meme of a crying NPC best expressed that amusement.

I said the same thing yesterday about Crazy Harry. They both...
1. Constantly Complain about Twitter post
2. Have weird fetishes and kinks like ...White Knighting for Trannies and Begging Chicken to allow posting of Nude Photos on the board
3. Demand you debate them without posting sources (tweets) and saying you don't read enough books
4. Have a very derogatory and insulting vocabulary

Have Ron Paul or Thomas Massie authored even 1 bill that's even been brought to the floor for a vote? Not even asking for a bill that they've gotten passed. Just 1 that's even come up for a vote on the floor?

You are really so obtuse that you can’t see that Trump is making significant cuts with DOGE? You people are delusional.

Trump is making significant cuts with DOGE?
When is he going to start doing that? September?

H.R. 899 - To Terminate the Department of Education
Introduced: Multiple Congresses, including February 5, 2021 (117th Congress)
Purpose: This one-sentence bill seeks to abolish the U.S. Department of Education, reflecting Massie’s stance on reducing federal involvement in education and returning control to states and local entities. It has been reintroduced in several sessions, including as recently as 2025.
H.R. 8421 - Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act
Introduced: Previous Congress, with renewed attention in 2025 discussions
Purpose: This bill aims to eliminate the Federal Reserve System and repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, aligning with Massie’s advocacy for ending centralized banking control over the U.S. economy. A similar bill, H.R. 1846, was introduced in 2025 with the same intent.
H.R. 3860 - To Prohibit COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates for the Armed Forces
Introduced: June 14, 2021 (117th Congress)
Purpose: This bill sought to prevent the Department of Defense from mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for members of the Armed Forces, emphasizing personal freedom and opposition to federal mandates.
H.R. 6590 - Senior Citizens Tax Elimination Act
Introduced: February 3, 2022 (117th Congress)
Purpose: This legislation proposes to eliminate federal income taxes on Social Security benefits, aiming to reduce the tax burden on senior citizens and protect their retirement income.
H.R. 1643 - Second Amendment For Every Registrable Voter Act (SAFER Voter Act)
Introduced: Reintroduced in 2025 (specific date varies by session)
Purpose: This bill would lower the minimum age for purchasing a handgun from a federal firearms licensee from 21 to 18, aligning it with voting age and reinforcing Second Amendment rights for young adults.
Now, find out if your representative voted in support of these bills. It's not his fault if bills to restore freedoms to Americans are shite canned by the rest of the Congress clowns

Again, none of "my" representatives have even had a chance to vote on these bills because Massie is so ineffective they've never made it to a vote. Ask yourself why that is the case?

Massie is an independent/libertarian with a (R) tag. If he dropped that he would be nobody and he benefits from the RNC money.
Has Massie ever been a committee chair? Honestly asking

Let me ask you this instead, if these were bills you could vote on, would you vote in favor of any of them?
Posted on 3/15/25 at 1:35 pm to Cuz413
quote:yeah, even the one to deregulate unpasteurized milk. The problem is that Massie doesn't understand the realities of the world. If he really wanted to have some of these things voted on, he'd compromise on some other things to get these to the floor.

Instead, he grandstands and then acts like he has some moral high ground. I'd love it if a person like Ron Paul could get his agenda passed. It's unrealistic. So, the next best thing for them is to grand stand and get nothing at all done.
Their actions tell you that they're principled. Their actions tell me that they don't really want any of it done, they just want it to look like they do.

You should’ve saw the love for Jo Jorgensen on this board. She was the Ron of 2020, ppl wanted her so bad and swore she’d be the first libertarian.

Crazy Harry had a mega meltdown yesterday. After I called his Weirdo arse out for begging Chicken to allow him to post nude photos on the board he deleted the thread. He is now claiming (lying) that it was sarcasm

So would I. And probably the majority of voters as well.
The problem isn't Massie bringing these in, its the lack of support by committees to vote in favor of their constituents.

So never bring a bill that isn't supported by the majority of Congress? Why even bother then? We just keep getting uniparty bullshite shoved down our throats and decide we don't like the very few that actually speak up on topics we like. It's easier to just hate on him.

The same folks who hate Massie and Ron Paul voted for McCain and Romney in 2008 and 2012. Before they were MAGA, they were phony conservatives whose idea of limited government was permanent war around the globe and reflexive support of the very institutions that have destroyed Trump the past 9 years.
There are people on this board who voted for Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee over Ron Paul

Nothing, apparently.
But they also don't bend to the will of the republican party.
Is getting some bullshite half arse bill out of committee the measuring stick for how effective a congressman is? Because there have been hundreds of bills over the years that have fricked us over. Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi are far better then because they have pushed many bills from committee to vote. ACA, ARP, IRA
