It's a huge nothingburger. What could Cruz have done to feed/water/warm his fellow Texans had he stayed home during their time of crisis?
Slow news day, maybe.

Not a good look for Teddy, how can you go to war with Ted when you know he is a deserter, a coward a film flam man he bamboozled your vote .
Deserter? You liberals have deserted the country long ago. Y'all stalk your rivals 24/7 hoping to get garbage on them then use your feeble minds to create what you want people to believe. So many of you belong in a mental hospital. You have and continue to trash the country and we all, including you, will go down with it.

Rafael Cruz agrees with this post.

Apologizing was Cruz’s biggest offense. It demonstrates once again he is a weasel.

Maybe just reinforcing the fact that he's a politician, and politicians are by nature, reactionary.

I will say, Cruz screwed up and a savvy politician like him should have understood the optics better.
Take a vacation at the beach before spring break ruins it? Or freeze in Texas because they went green?
Screwing up here seems to be staying and suffering because the green energy you told them wasn’t ready, wasn’t ready.

This is nothing like what Nancy did. She violated one mandate by not wearing a mask inside a salon. Further, the salon itself was closed to the public thanks to a city wide order in San Francisco.
Cite for us the mandate order which Ted Cruz violated.
Most annoying is the constant attempt to equivocate unlike things. This is not “both parties doing bad optics things“. There is no comparison.
Rules for thee, not for me.

Ted should just ignore the whole fricking thing. The mob will soon move on to something else. I'll never understand why people cave. Just ignore them. I can't imagine there are many Texans that voted for Ted Cruz that would not vote for him again over this non-issue.

The equivocation is the concentration on petty bullshite. So everyone on the right went crazy over Nancy and her hair cut, what exactly changed because of their hysteria? Lockdown ended? Did it show people on the left how crazy the Dems have become? Will the focus on Ted end the electrical issues effecting Texas at the moment? Does him staying in Texas provide some magical fix for the failure of the state government?

This is such a non-story. No one is going to remember the great Snowpocalypse of 2021 when it comes time to vote in late 2023.
