I’ve been on this planet for 46 years, in the Deep South for 36 of them. I’ve never seen anyone be harassed for being black. Ever.

Now, I’ve been harassed for being white.

There’s a Black Girls Run and a Black Men Run chapter here in Bham. We occasionally run by them on Saturday mornings. My run group is a track club. We have women, men, young, old (me), black, white, rich, poor, etc, etc. I’m not sure why one would feel the need to have a run group based off race? The only thing my club groups by is training pace.


FYI: This lady looks EXACTLY like all the Black Girls Run members I’ve seen.
