Went to Sam’s the other day. The young woman of color manning the exit door was waving people of a similar ethnicity with loaded carts out the door without checking. Since I was a shady older white guy with one item, she felt it necessary to stop me and scan both my membership and the item.

One can walk right into a Sam’s Club, head to the cafe area, pull a cup out of your bag, and drink em up.
You have to scan at Costco to get in but not a Sam’s Club.

I usually walk into the Sam's on Airline and Cleary Ave in Metairie nobody asks to see shite. I may be wrong but i don't think you can buy anything outside of the food court without having a card though. And I don't think this lovey lady could get away with this shite in our store though. There are too many workers right there for them to just turn a blind eye. Jeff PD would be there pretty quick if she caused a scene.

It's legit. Had a cart full of grocery's and 2 kids acting hangry. Used the app to pay for my stuff but missed the Gatorade under the cart. Pulled to the side so they could confirm the items in my cart and called me out for missing the Gatorade. They understood it was an honest mistake, but it caught me and I had to do the pull over of shame while I paid for the item, then showed them so they could clear both receipts.
