I personally don't care what the others say, based on my past experience living in LA, there's no way you could convince me to not carry full coverage. The risk doesn't outweigh the small monthly savings.

I try to explain that to my customers all the time.. And when something like this happens they look at me like.. "Hey buddy you didn't warn me!!"

We must have it because my wife was in an accident a while back with an uninsured African American female (not racist), and our insurance covered it.
They cops detained her and searched her vehicle inside and out since she had prior felony drug charges. The accident was the AA woman's fault 100% btw. I guess that's why they searched her vehicle.
Do drivers who do not have insurance get into any trouble when they cause an accident? It's required here in NC like about all states nowadays.

Had a guy tell me one time " I'd probably win the lottery or get struck by lightning before I would need that"
2 weeks later... He was struck by the wrong lightning lottery.. He carries it now...

And what in the hell were you thinking not having uninsured motorist insurance? Are you so naive to think that at-fault drivers will have insurance? You act as if it's a fricking rule in this country or something! It is purely your wife's fault and you should accept it.
