GWB !!!

TL;DR - GWB read a book on the 1918 pandemic and developed a pandemic response - the framework of our responses today

Right. And a document was prepared in 2016 to deal with this type of threat.

Trump ignored it

A great president. He will never get the credit he deserves because of the Democrat propaganda machine. Trump’s legacy will be challenged in the same ways.

Not a prog lol ....been a repub since ‘94 - voted for the repub nominee in every election except Trump (voted 3rd party bc there was one person worse than trump and that was HRC) ....I’d have voted for any of the repub candidates that year- but i loved Rubio and Jeb— Rand Paul a distant 3rd

Leave it to powerbottom to roll his belly out of the way and jerk it to politico. You didn’t even read the article.

An NSC official confirmed the existence of the playbook but dismissed its value. “We are aware of the document, although it’s quite dated and has been superseded by strategic and operational biodefense policies published since,” the official said. “The plan we are executing now is a better fit, more detailed, and applies the relevant lessons learned from the playbook and the most recent Ebola epidemic in the [Democratic Republic of the Congo] to COVID-19.”

I wholeheartedly agree with your first comments.../trump will have more to do with self inflicted hits than anything

Bush laid the foundation and Trump updated the playbook based on lesson’s learned. Meanwhile, the Democrats did nothing and their supporters, like Powerman, continue to cheer The Party onwards.

I see you already got destroyed by the other poster, but I'll ask a few questions anyway;
1. Would you be upset with the next dem president for ignoring the Trump pandemic playbook?
2. If Trump were to respond to corona exactly how Obama responded to H1N1, where would we be right now?
3. What makes the bureaucrats in the Obama administration more learned and prepared on pandemic response than the bureaucrats in the Trump administration?

I think we already know the answers.

Maybe he was busy with something else, like having to defend himself from traitorous Democrats engaged in a coup attempt disguised as Impeachment....

In 2005 that sumbitch should have been focused on disengaging us from two wars...

Also, I guess in 2005 he was too stupid to realize that Strategic Plans already existed for this type of scenario... As well as many, many other scenarios...

It amazes me that people actually believe the planning process started because GWB read a book... LMAO, cannot make this shite up...

Powerbottom googled for something negative. Found it on politico and licked the grease off his fingers to post.

He didn’t even read it. Sad
