Creating a plan centered on the Kurds having any influence is going to lead to cooperation from lots of enemies to thwart them.

If you were as old as me you would have seen by now all to many 'feed them and we can win' fails in the ICs history. Always sounds so easy. I know some successes but more times than not it makes things worse.
