Slow it down, the location of the pitch was much better than the circle was. I am not saying it was a strike but that circle was where the catcher caught it, not where it went through the plate zone.

Am I the only one that thought of Frank Drebin with how delayed the strike call was?

How many of you know the depth of the strike zone and where it starts? It was still inside but not that much. That's why the placement of those circles are dumb. They are where the ball's caught and not where it passed through the strike zone.

The only plate a woman should be behind is my dinner plate while putting it on the table.

the glaring lack of black female umpires in MLB has been a problem for a long time

are you fricking blind????

the pitch was in the fricking batters box. her head was over the catchers shoulder, giving her the perfect look, and she STILL missed the call

That was within the margin of error. Batter should've stroked it down the third base line.

You clearly never played the game

Didn’t she go from softball to baseball? She has zero qualifications to have this job. So far, statistically she’s the worst umpire in history.

She made the correct call on 93% of pitches tonight which is normal for a debut. I think league wide season average is like 95%. This was a ball. But she did fine. Better than Angel Hernandez and the union kept him around for years after it was clear he was awful

It wasn't as bad as it looked. It didn't end in the zone, but it grazed it as it passed the batter.
