It's really telling that many of the people leading the charge for Trump on YouTube and Twitter are people who were or would have been Liberal Democrats 10 years ago. Liberals who are paying attention are leaving the DNC because the far left is authoritarian is anti-liberty. If the GOP fully embraces them it will be a game changer.

I agree with you. My only point was to say that even if you assume everything in that stupid meme is correct the shooting is still good

I appreciate sentence 1, I do the same. However, I obviously disagree with the rest of your view. I don't know why we are picking sides with regards to the rioters on the left and these questionable people in these militias. I think Rittenhouse has a good case for self-defense, however, he's a weird character, that wasn't protecting his property or the property of his neighbors, but is an outsider that came in to play militia. None of us would do this because we're real people with real lives, that would never put that shite at risk - we just call each other retards online. These protesters and counter-protesters (proud boys etc) are all a bunch of rabble rousers, that typically aren't from the locales they're burning and fighting in. I feel no sympathy for the dead or the shooter.

What made you form this opinion as absolute? That he was playing militia...
I see the obvious things, not from the immediate area and carrying a weapon, but I have not seen the answer to this from anyone associated with Kyle. There are also pictures of him scrubbing graffiti from that same day. His home is less than 30 minutes away and its very likely he knows people in town or has a history in that town.
I've driven much longer distance to help friends that asked, and some that have not asked. I drove hours to Texas in 2017 during the floods pulling a boat just to help people I did not know, as I was also heled the year before during our flood.

I'm not picking sides and I have empathy for the families of those involved that are left to pick up the pieces. I am however picking the side of Law and Order. Kyle should walk with a simple slap on the wrist for misdemeanor possession of a firearm by a minor. Medic guy should also face charges of felony possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

Now apply that same meme logic the the Marquis de Lafayette of American Revolution fame ... wanna deny if he was a patriot? Just because he too was from out of town?

Embarrassing false equivalence. What precisely is "questionable" about them? Be specific.

quote:

That this is considered "weird" is a sad testament to where we are in life. Some people look out on the world and see mobs harming people and their things for no reason and think, "that isn't right, someone should stop that". Others think, "That isn't right, I WILL try to stop it" Frankly, it's sad the latter isn't more common. It certainly isn't "weird".

quote:

None of us would do this because we're real people with real lives, that would never put that shite at risk
Which, again, says more about this group than it does about someone who WOULD risk for others. Sheesh. Do you have ANY sense of history? History is filled with people who risked for OTHERS. And, we rightfully look fondly upon them.

quote:

These protesters and counter-protesters (proud boys etc) are all a bunch of rabble rousers,
Back to false equivalence. The latter wouldn't even be out there if it weren't for the former. They'd be chilling at home with a BBQ.

quote:

And, this is just plain stupid. Here's reality. People........GOOD people.........are living in locations where the local governments have abandoned them to the mob. In these locations, in many cases, they are horribly outnumbered. One would HOPE that good people who share the values of those being targeted would help rather than just sit around waiting for the mob to show up on their street.

Crawl out of your basement.

Yeah. Idiot literally described exactly what makes Kyle and people like him special and thinks it's a flaw.

Something tells me that cwill would have thought the people who volunteered to go fight Hitler were "Weird" and just trouble makers too.

We are seeing nightly reports of Cosplayers burning our cities and intimidating/assaulting people for their Political views, but Rittenhouse is "weird".....

I know I'm going to catch hell for this post, but when is it okay to ignore laws? We hate the rioters for breaking laws and praise someone who aligns with our beliefs for breaking laws. So what is the rule here?

Well and good start is probably when the government abandons you to the Mob.

Just sayin

When the government chooses to stand aside as people with your values are attacked then the government is taking a side

You guys need to get the order of operations correct. When the mob is roaming in the government is doing nothing about it but government has effectively abandoned its own laws

Would the "militia" guys be there but not for the rioters? Of course, not. It's a reactionary movement due in many instances to coward leftist elected officials making police stand down and not put a stop to the madness. There is literally no one else out there stopping this.

What kind of fricking insane shite is this? Leftist Utopia.

This is the government these people chose. These people in Wisconsin elected this government. Elections have consequences.

I have no problem with any man defending his life, family, and property. But do it legally.
