This guy is laying it on the Democrats. Won't matter, but if they had souls they would probably appreciate the argument....

I’m wondering if any of these senators who vote guilty really believe that he’s guilty OR if they’re just full of shite. Which yes they are but still ..

Loved his comment regarding the reason the 1/6 participants thought it was acceptable behavior was because the Dems made it normal over the summer

Van Der Veen on fire:
"They (the House Managers) have created a new doctrine. The Raskin (main House Manager) doctrine is based on nothing more than determining protected speech based upon the party label by your name."
"Can Congress now ignore Supreme Court precedent on the contours of protected free speech? Will Congress be permitted to continually make up their own new legal standards and apply those new standards to elected officials speech? This would allow Congress to use the impeachment power as a weapon to impeach their fellow colleagues in the opposing party. This is not a precedent that this senate can set here today."
"Most of what the House Managers have said and shown you would be inadmissible in any respectable court of law. They were not trying a case, they were telling a political tale; a fable. And a patiently false one at that."
"Because their case is so weak, the House Managers have taken a Kitchen Sink approach to the supposedly single article of impeachment. They allege that mr trump incited the January 6 violence. They allege that he abused power by attempting to pressure GA secretary of state Rathensburger to undermine the results of the 2020 election. And allege that he gravely and endangered the democratic system by interfering with the peaceful transfer of power."
