Well that and firing thousands of middle class Americans without cause. But otherwise he’s spot on.

Canada AND America need more sensible people like this guy.

I love how we’re gonna act like this isn’t a thing.
USA Today Article
The base eats up these firings. Why act like it’s not a thing? Firing people in their “probationary period” (including in new roles as a result of promotion) is not what any reasonable person would call “with cause.”
Huge percentage of federal employees are vets, too, to add insult to injury.

I have no problem with an informed investigation/audit into the resourcing of the federal government. I think a smarter way to do this would have been a hiring freeze while critically assessing the need for FTEs in each department.
That is not what’s happening. This is a thoughtless firing of middle class Americans in order to win political points.

Public unions are a cancer. Get rid of them!

When you're on probation, there is no need for cause.

So critique their findings if it’s not legit. Shouldn’t be that hard.

Nobody voted for you and no one cares what you think is smarter.
Trump and Musk are eliminating wasteful do-nothing jobs. That's a win for the American tax payer.

“Probationary” does not equal “on probation.”
If they want to demote people who have been given raises, I think that’s fine. Cruel but fine. But to fire them defines “without cause.”

A huge percentage of the fired individuals are in useless redundant positions.

Two billionaires, including one who gets more in government contracts than any other human, are firing middle class Americans, and you cheer.
