and you look at little 18-28 year old jimmy/jane, shacked up with 4 friends, no job, no college,
That’s because he can’t afford college, can’t afford a place of his own, and all the entry level jobs have been sent to India.
By your peers.

They’re voting for socialism because they’re lazy and brainwashed by socialists.

Boomers forced kids to make terrible financial decisions!!
Not forced
Boomers created a trap and kids, being kids, walked into it
If boomers had access to those traps, they would have walked right into it as well.
Difference is, the parents of boomers did not set traps. Instead, they taught boomers to avoid traps.

I'm surprised this^^^ hasn't happened yet. Same thing with lifting the payroll cap on Social Security. Those two things alone would help to shore up social security. If they means test social security based on total net worth I could be in the crosshairs.
Both of those steps would require an admission that SS is just another form of welfare.

Then the newer generations spend their money as it comes in and just haaaaaaave to have the new 1,500 dollar iPhone
I have an iPhone 8 and it is on last legs.
Several of the web based programs I use at work require two factor authentication. That means either a text or a phone app like the Microsoft one.
If I don’t replace my iPhone with another smart phone, I can’t work.

Baby boomers are the most selfish generation in human history. It’s sad that they were so concerned with their own creature comforts that they doomed future generations to slavery and debt.

Boomers were the parents of Gen X retard.
Posted on 7/27/25 at 12:59 am to A12 Oxcart
This is just false. The majority of boomer had Gen X...the largest part of boomers was the 45-50 born, class who was born in 45 and 46 was the largest in US history. They had kids in the early 70s so Gen X. Abortion became legal during this time and Gen X suffered this. Gen X was the most aborted gen. Late boomers think they are the boomers when they are at best an echo of those born 10 years before but still considered boomers

Actually that is literally the modern American public education system created by the Boomers. Elementary school is designed to make unruly boys behave like nice polite girls.
---
This is true.
The modern education system from elementary to the university is a byproduct of the 60s/70s boomer philosophers.
The system is an extension of their heavily progressive feminist ideals.
This "Boomer" generation must be absolutely expansive. It spans back in the educational system to cover Benjamin Spock, Saul Alinsky and Timothy Leary, and forward seven decades to cover the likes of Nikole Hannah-Jones. Absolutely AMAZING!
But there are conundrums.
E.g., Whereas Clinton and Obama are boomers, Trump is apparently not. Whereas the entire staffs of MSNBC, CNN, etc are undoubtedly boomers, apparently Victor Davis Hanson et al are not. Boomers who taught Tucker in the 1960's, are teaching "unruly boys behave like nice polite girls" today. Absolutely AMAZING!
Those are the type of subverting conundrums which haunt critical theorists. Of course that is to be expected here as the entire OP premise is classic Critical Theory.

What in the everloving F!
Here's a clue 10thyrsr: Capitalism determines what capitalism needs ... all the time, everywhere/. If a company would benefit from younger workers, but shirks the need, another smarter company will eat its lunch.

Sure, except for workplace age regulations that make it not a truly free labor market. We don't live in mythical Adam Smith world.
and then you have the unmitigated gall to post this
quote:So, one page later, you chase your contrived age-limitations fairytale with the contention that Yuppies is a "narrative"?
Ssshhh...you're ruining the narrative > Yuppies
I'll hand it to you, that is audacious.

I had a lot of respect for these two until I watched their sissy a$$ bellyaching they just engaged in.
Coloring in ANY entire generation like shown here is just plain old stupid.
Real men don't bitch, moan, and complain as shown in this diatribe!

I don't think I've ever truly recognized or fully understood what a bunch of oooozing gaping pussies so many Millennial males and Gen X males apparently are .... until now. Until reading this entire thread.
Excuse makers.
This thread helps to explain why things are so fricked up today. Millennial and Gen X young men now in their what, 30s? 40s? 50s? Early 60s?
Holy cow. Lol

Millennial vote and boomer vote were bout equal in the 2024 election as far as the split between Trump and Kamala
Millennials and Gen Z shifted way right from 16 and 20 while Boomer vote shifted left
So tell us again who's voting for who
