When Trump appointed scamming prosperity preacher Paula White as his personal faith advisor, you should have known the freaks would start flying, but you should also have known that Trump's Christianity is about as legit as Michael Moore's NRA membership.

You don't need to send anyone to speak to Jesus for you. That was the purpose of Him dying on the cross. "Each according to his own faith".
We now have direct access.

The first Pope was one of the first people to speak in tongues. And was also given the keys to the kingdom

Maybe you should get out of those post Christ Catholic dogmas that arent canon, and read the actual letters of the disciples. Not from some priest that was buggering boys on the side

No kidding. Have you ever spoke in tongues?

No. That's not how it works. It doesn't speak to you in any language of man, including gibberish. It's like it just directly gives you understanding. It's like a series of understandings that come just really really fast. For example, first was I understood the soul and what it is meant by that which is spirit is spirit and that which is flesh is flesh. And the commandments became extremely clear to me and why they are sins against God.

You can NOT do those things if you want to live in a heavenly society. If you are a thief, you can not live in a society without theft. Your very presence makes it nonexistent. You murder, you break the other commandments, same thing. You MUST be someone who follows the commandments. MUST.

No, it does not matter what you have done in the past. You can and will be forgiven. All God wants from you is for you to fix your mistakes, aka atone for your sins. However, understand the difference between asking for forgiveness and asking for a blind eye. You will not be given the blind eye. Asking for forgiveness means you have seen the error in your ways and you have fixed them. Continuing them is asking for a blind eye.

Life changing experience to say the least.

I didn't belong to any religion and still don't. I grew up "Christian" but it never meant much. But after when I read the words of Jesus, it was like holy shite, this is someone who understands. I have no doubt the father was in him and that he knew the father. None. I know where his understanding comes from, and more importantly - I recognize his ability to let it work through him. When he says that which is flesh is flesh and that which is spirit is spirit, I know what he means. I can even explain it you in a modern way if you'd like - we do our own version of this with video games.

Jesus fulfills the commandments and by doing so, he shows men how to also do so. And if you follow that, you will walk the correct path.

I am not a man of faith, I am a man of understanding. I'm not an expert on scripture, and I will tell you straight away that I do not dine with Paul.

Stop. Who is there interpreting that? All that is, is self edifying. It’s not biblical. It’s a show.

Again, your ignorance of scripture is demonstrated.

In 1 Corinthians 12–14, Paul addresses spiritual gifts, emphasizing their purpose for building up the church (1 Corinthians 12:7). In chapter 14, he contrasts tongues (often unintelligible without interpretation) with prophecy, which is clear and edifying to all. He urges the Corinthians to prioritize gifts that benefit the community over personal spiritual experiences.

Speaking in tongues during prayer and one speaking in tongues say, in a church gathering are two separate things.

“For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.” (1 Corinthians 14:14–15, NIV)

This is not Christianity this is heretical Scofieldesque Dispensationalism and the fact it has infiltrated the White Office makes the current administration look at best, kooky.

I once walked "in the spirit ", but have strayed. I'm not the most moral guy, and neither am I an expert in scripture, but I know what I know.
I know who is Lord and what that name is,Jesus.
And I know what the bible tells me about these things.
I'm not trying to be an a-hole here(as sometimes I do here).
Im only trying to share what I know. Take or leave it.

What's wrong with sending him to do so face to face? ( once again use the Irish brogue, it sounds better) need to teach those Ulster types a lesson....they can't come into our neighborhoods and talk all that blasphemy.

I don't know anything about Michael Moores NRA membership, neither do I know anything about Trump and his relationship with Jesus.
But it surely appears to me that Trump has been ordained for this moment, considering all hes overcome and his cheating death, twice. IMHO

Has its roots in John 20:23 when Jesus breathed on the Disciples and told them to receive the Holy Spirit and go out amongst the people, and whosever sin you forgive is forgiven and whosever sin you retain is retained.

and i'm not entirely opposed to it. just that it could be viewed as extra-Biblical.

I am not the biggest Catholic detractor Protestant. I'm not Catholic, but if i landed in a new town and the options were a pride flag bearing baptist/methodist/Presbyterian church and a catholic church, call me a dirty papist.

Nothing wrong with speaking in tongues. The vast majority of Christians around the world speaking tongues when you get out of America. When I was in Israel for a little while, the church that I was at everyone spoke in tongues it’s not a big deal.

A common misconception is that we have to be perfect people to follow the commandments. But the reality is the rules of God are actually somewhat simple and limited.

You don't need to be perfect. I am surely not perfect. I have tons of flaws and things I would love to be able to snap my finger and improve.

But I keep the commandments. Those are based on how you treat other people for the most part. The biggest way the commandments are broken are via government, which is why I am in favor of an extremely limited one.

Sure, Jesus told us the golden rule, but its also about how we treat ourselves.

I have an extremely conservative view of the Bible in it's original interpretation, but I also know that i'm not the gatekeeper. I will be happy to get to heaven and see more people than I expected there but for God tell me you were way too strict with your interpretations, but you also weren't an a-hole about it.

Beautifully put!

Oh no, I get your point. I'd like to use mine to send those blasphemous fools for a face to face with the almighty. The good lord sometimes has facilitators for that very task.
