I'm not disagreeing with you.
One reason Pakistan has opened these routes is for their benefit. They are suffering from inflation just like everyone else and as a poor country they need goods including oil from Iran.
Iraq has also opened a land route from Iran which gives them access to the Mediterranean.
The point is Iran prolongs the war to the extant it can move oil and I don't think the U.S. is going to be shooting at anything on the ground in Pakistan.
