Right. Does a “positive” vis a vis a specific objective create other (perhaps unforeseen) negatives down the line? Is it truly a desirable objective, in the broader philosophical sense, to make war so easy?

On this side point it's a question I've asked for many years

Which is worse for the country on the receiving end?

500000 dead in a month and the war is over? We're 500,000 killed over the course of 10 years and the war continues?

hat's why they are pissed about this strike

They have been clamoring for war. But not clamoring for trying to actually win that war. They want wars that drg on an cost lives and destroy nations for the people (refugees) that live there.

Trump didn't strike some expendable DS pawns. He actually struke the DS itself. We have been waiting for some DS players to be arrested. Well killing some DS players is a damn great start to taking all of te ds out.

Yeah, I get that. Minimizing risk to civilians in combat is still a positive. The reality is that we will always wage war on each other, and the risk of civilian casualties has done little to minimize that.

Philosophically, sure, we could say that war is "bad" and we should strive to avoid it. I'm just not sure we'd see a change, regardless of the effects on a civilian population.

Yes.

Fighting wars more effectively by reducing collateral damage and eliminating war entirely are two separate ideas.

People have been killing each other since we first learned what a rock could do to a human skull. I'd say most of us could agree that we'll never stop killing each other.

What we are currently doing is clearly an improvement over the alternative in the here and now.

Precision drone strikes versus manned missions. Didn’t seem that confusing.

Thought so.

We are currently conducting "manned missions." It isn't an alternative.

Certainly was a shortage in your OP.

You want to rant and rave, feel free. Dont expect me to accept it as fact or take it seriously.

There are some in the left who would gladly take arms in the side of Iran just because they don’t like trump.

It’s really sickening

If you want to pretend to be entirely unaware of the world around you, that's a you problem. Not me.
