I'm going to vote democrat if the republican party and candidates wont quit fricking texting me. I get 10-20 different texts a day, I have opted out of and blocked hundreds of numbers.

They are going to piss off their voters, I am SICK of it.

This is exactly where they get it.

Local parties or state parties sell it to candidates. It has the registered voter names, address, phone number, and if they voted in the last few elections

You know, over half of those are not legit organizations that work on behalf of Republican candidates. There are a good many that are downright scams.

Exactly why I registered as an Independent. Texts, mailers, and phone calls ended.

Do the numbers have yours or local area codes? I know the answer.

I hope so...my friend is deluged with multiple texts per day...blocking doesn't help, they have an endless amount of phone numbers to text from.

Don't send them money and this wouldn't happen. I agree that you have a genuine reason to be disgruntled with their shenanigans.

I started trolling whoever sent me a text.

I no longer receive texts.

Do you have an answer as to how to make it stop?

No. I have no idea, but I suppose it doesn’t fall under the old telemarketer laws for whatever reason. I get the calls, but it goes straight to ‘will you accept’ text and then to voicemail. I never notice because I always have it on silent.

If you remove your number from the voter registration it should stop texted in the future but they likely already have your number for this election.

I started a thread about this earlier. The Letlow texts I'm getting are relentless.
