Ironically, these exact words could have been stated during the arguments of Roe v Wade. There is nothing in the Constitution that supports the right to an abortion. It was a right created out of thin air.

I actually agree with the overarching principle: Politics should be nowhere near this issue. SCOTUS should ONLY rule on the constitutionality of law.

Period.

That being said, I don't think she and I would agree on what meets that standard.

Activist judge disappointed that people see court as a political hockey puck. Now do Obamacare and gun control.

The problem is not a politicized court now. The problem is the unjust, extra-constitutional, immoral acts of a politicized court previously.

Almost every significant ruling by the courts has been due to an activist judge making a politicized ruling based on their political prejudices. We all agree it shouldn't be like this. Wasn't my side that started it.

Even RBG said R v Wade was flawed. If Thomas made a political statement like Sotomayor did what would happen?

She continues to be the poster child for shitty SCOTUS choices.

I may disagree with zombie RBG or Kagan but they are at least competent. Sotomayor only holds her job due to racial preferences in hiring.

Why does public perception need to be accounted for when dealing with the law? Isn't that the point of the law?
