One of the benefits of a CHP is you aren't subject to the 1000 feet. You still can't legally carry on the school property, but you can carry walking on the public sidewalk just outside of the fencing.

I may be wrong, but at least in Arkansas having a concealed carry license comes with additional restrictions as far as where you can and cannot be, and even more onerous is the "duty to retreat" if you can do so safely. How the hell are you supposed to know if you can do so safely? You find out if you retreat and don't die?

Constitutional carry without the government permission slip in Arkansas does away with the duty to retreat, and also opens up some places that the license restricts you from entering. I let my license lapse 10 years ago.
