Maybe Acosta ought to listen to President Trump and do what President Trump asks him to do when President Trump is conducting a press conference.

And when the President is conducting a press conference there is an expectation that you will have to answer questions.

In the case of President Trump he chose to run from them. A reporter doing his job will hold the president to a higher standard.

Acosta and Sessions will be the progressive heroes of the month.

Acosta was not doing his job. Acosta was grandstanding and making political speeches like he does at every single press conference.

The not giving up the mic was the last straw. I think Trump has been rather patient with Acosta.

A journalist is supposed to report the story, not be the story.

Acosta has made sure he's front and center the story for CNN since the first Trump presser.

I understand that you need to tell yourself these things.

I just don't understand why you would willingly be disingenuous when it's all captured on tape.

Exactly. It's all captured on tape. You just choose to ignore the parts you disagree with.

Pretty sure she's the dumbest person on television. And somehow she is an attorney

Well he didn't do what you're claiming that he did. So it's odd that you would insinuate that I'm ignoring something when you're clearly making something up.

"As you know, Mr. President, the caravan was not an invasion.."

And yes, I realize he followed it with a question. But the above is a political statement, not a question.

I can provide more examples if you'd like.

You see, you had to convince yourself that that was a speech and political grandstanding.

that Caravan isn't an invasion, and I'm willing to bet the president's not going to talk about the Caravan anymore either because he's done with it.

Irrelevant.

A journalist has no business making the statement. Pure political grandstanding and you damn well know it. And that's only one of many, many examples of what Acosta has done in every single presser he's been in since Trump took office.

Being a disrespectful child and not giving up the mic was just the last straw. Until he can prove he's a professional journalist and not a fricking crybaby trying to jack up CNN ratings, he needs to be kept out of the Press pool.

You see this is what you want to say, but in order for you to get here you need to make up a lot of things.

a lot of users here like to call liberalism a mental disease, when in fact it's tribalism. Unfortunately many users here suffer from this

I have not made up one single thing. I have given you an example. You just don't choose to see it because you see nothing wrong with Acosta's behavior.

ETA: And tribalism has nothing to do with it. I'm not in Trump's "tribe". I did not vote for him. I will not vote for him in 2020.

Why is an alleged journalist asking such a horribly leading question?

Answer: because he's not a journalist

She is right. However, if she wants to dive into first semester tort law, the microphone was not his permanently. He used the chattel after he was forbidden to use it, so she has a valid defense for her battery.

Acosta doesn’t.

President Trump spent 1 1/2 hours answering 68 questions from 35 reporters including Acosta.

That doesn't sound to me like President Trump ran away from the questions asked by reporters at the PC.

When Acosta told President Trump that the caravan isn't an "invasion", President Trump disagreed and told Acosta in his opinion the caravan is an "invasion".

When President Trump used the word, "invasion" to describe the caravan he didn't mean an armed assault on the USA by soldiers from another country.

The definition of "invasion" in the context President Trump used the word is:

quote:

The incoming or spread of something usually hurtful.

or

quote:

an incursion by a large number of people or things into a place or sphere of activity.

Acosta knows that is the context in which President Trump used the word, "invasion" but Acosta wanted to get argumentative with President Trump anyway.

quote:

A reporter doing his job will hold the president to a higher standard

Then Acosta should have acted like a reporter and just asked his question then let President Trump answer it instead of arguing with President Trump about his answer.

I would have handed that intern more than the mic- she looked hot! But Acosta's gay arse was more interested in stirring up shite with Trump. Going forward, any reporter who shows blatant disrespect to the POTUS should be kicked out! Now can we find out who the intern is? She is now famous overnight!

You are deliberately glossing over Acosta’s transgressions. He asked his 2 questions. The intern’s job is to move things along by taking the mic and giving it to someone else for their questions. Acosta wanted yet another question. Up to this point Trump has cordially answered Acosta’s questions. But when Acosta refused to give up the mic(disrespecting the intern in the process) AND interrupted the next reporter to try and get yet another question in, he became a disruption to the press conference. If you want to be a part of the White House press conferences you can’t disrespect the people that work there as well as the other reporters that also want to ask questions.

I’m not saying he assaulted the intern or that this is some real big deal, but his behavior was inappropriate and it 100% warranted the revocation of his press pass.
