The caravan is an invasion using the definition of "invasion" in the context in which President Trump used the word, "invasion".

It's pointless to engage a closed minded zealot like that prog.

I'm not shocked that some bogus cryptozoologist would say something like this.

you saw seaweed in the San Francisco Bay, but in context you thought you found the fricking Leviathan.

He certainly wasn't grandstanding giving a speech. These instances don't always occur whenever he is in the room.

Again, I know you have to tell yourself these things. Like how you try to convince yourself that you discovered Bigfoot water skiing.

Acosta was not doing his job.

You're making shite up. he asked Trump two questions, 'Why do you characterize the caravan as an invasion?'

[insert child trying to take Mr. Microphone away here]

...and 'Are you worried about indictments from the Mueller investigation?'

The not giving up the mic was the last straw.

If it was the last straw, why did the president answer the next question which came after the attempt to silence Acosta?

Acosta has made sure he's front and center the story for CNN since the first Trump presser.

How can you have this so backwards?

It's TRUMP that made sure Acosta and CNN were front and center on this. If the man knew how to control his emotions, he wouldn't let people use him the way they do.

You are deliberately glossing over Acosta’s transgressions. He asked his 2 questions. The intern’s job is to move things along by taking the mic and giving it to someone else for their questions. Acosta wanted yet another question. Up to this point Trump has cordially answered Acosta’s questions.

Jesus, if you people didn't intentionally lie, you wouldn't be able to bitch and moan so much.

First Acosta asked about calling the caravan an invasion.

Then the intern tried to silence him by taking the mic.

And THEN Acosta asked his second question, after fending off the intern, regarding concern over indictments from the investigation.
quote:

you can’t disrespect the people that work there as well as the other reporters that also want to ask questions.

You're trying too hard.

Acosta asked two questions, just like most of the rest of the press corps who asked questions. It's just that the president was rude and kept interrupting him while trying to ask the questions.

Stop trying to make this into something it isn't.

Did Acosta make the statement I quoted or not?

Yes or no will suffice.

You're conveniently leaving off the statement that preceded that question that you even quoted in an earlier post.

It's TRUMP that made sure Acosta and CNN were front and center on this.

Ah yes, it was Trump that made Acosta grandstand and refuse to give up the mic so that other reporters could ask questions.

Trump really is all-powerful after all! He can make journalists act like raging douchebags!

Seaweed can't swim against the tide, chase sea lions or raise itself 10 feet straight up out of the water.

How is that convenient? My point was that he asked two questions, one before the mic grab, and the other question after the mic grab. His statements leading up to the questions are irrelevant as to where they occurred relative to the mic grab.
quote:

it was Trump that made Acosta grandstand and refuse to give up the mic

No, it was Trump who was grandstanding and tried to have his lackey grab the mic.

If Trump had just let Acosta ask his questions, perhaps with a little prodding to keep it moving along, this wouldn't have gotten blown out of proportion.
quote:

He can make journalists act like raging douchebags!

What makes you think Trump made Acosta a raging douchebag? From where I'm sitting, they're both raging douchebags. Have you ever been interviewed by a journalist? It's almost like they have to pass some sort of douchebag exam before they graduate.

I get it, you're desperate for someone in government you feel represents you and you think Trump is the one throwing you a life ring. Bad news, he's throwing you an anchor and laughing all the way to the bank at how stupid you are. When you vote for the lesser of two evils, you still end up with an evil person.

I sure miss how Reagan used to handle the press. If Trump wasn't so self-absorbed and self-assured, he might benefit from a look at how a pro does it.

I didn't say or imply Acosta was giving a speech. I said he was arguing with President Trump over President Trump using the word invasion to describe the caravan.

No, I'm claiming you're a full on retard with your sea monster bullshite.

I mean, you watch The View, believe in sea monsters, sell trash on the sidewalk, why should anyone take you seriously?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, it wasn't such a good idea to eat all that acid back in the day?

I don't believe sea serpents exist. I know sea serpents exist and I have video evidence that proves it.

My brother and I were hired by Guitar Player's Magazine to design and make their Guitarist Poll Award for 1976 because they saw our jewelry when we were selling on the sidewalk one day. They liked our work so much they hired us on the spot.

Now Jeff Beck, Roy Clark, Michael Bloomfield, Julian Bream, Rusty Young, Leo Kottke, Peter Frampton, Lightnin' Hopkins, Jose Feliciano, Carlos Montoya, George Benson and Stanley Clarke all have a valuable piece of our work.

Guitar Player's Magazine wouldn't have hired us to design and make such a prestigious award if all we did was sell trash on the sidewalk, bitch!
