Unfortunately, the video doesn't really show us much. It shows just enough for everyone to draw the conclusion they want to make from it, but not enough to prove what happened on the other side of the truck. I don't know how they convict the guy if he and his career-investigator father both testify that it was a good shoot.
They accosted a citizen with firearms just because...what?

Why couldn't this at least go to a grand jury months ago? Why was the mother told her son was shot "because he was involved in a robbery"?

It's not 100% that these guys are guilty (at least not based just on the video) - but it's damned near 100% the reason this thing was basically buried is because of some down home ol baw politics.

The video does show that the dad lied. He said they were chasing him when he attacked them and they fired 2 shots. The video shows they were waiting on him and 3 shots were fired. I think the only chance they have is a sympathetic jury

I guess I'm missing something in the video, because they don't seem to be holding him up at all. I don't see anyone pointing a gun at him until he's trying to take it from the guy.

So if two people in a truck chase you down and try and abduct you at gunpoint you wouldn't try and defend yourself and get out of the situation?

How does the DA see this video and buy the story as told?

I'd have been suspicious of someone dressed like that running around in my neighborhood after recent break-ins, regardless of their race.

Yeah. But would you ambush and murder the guy?

To me it looks like what happened was he came upon their truck and he intended to run around it, but the son was waiting around the front with a gun, so the poor guy attempted to go right for it and wrestle it from him.

This poor man and his family. And the best this board could muster was to make it about Joe Biden.

Two guys with guns are waiting on this guy just running down the road. One in the bed of the truck and the other standing in front of the truck. You can't just harass people with guns then shoot them and make a stand your ground claim.

Why is this just being brought to light now??

This was two months ago.

Law enforcement covered it up because the dad used to be one of them. Luckily media got hold of the video and leaked it, forcing the GBI to get involved.

Right. They provoked the entire situation.

IDGAF what Biden has to say one way ir another, all I care about is that video was egregious. Cold blooded murder, and the full extent of the law needs to be applied ASAP.

No way they can buy the story as told. Look at what they said happened in the police report, the video shows they lied

I’m guessing they didn’t read “Talking to Strangers” by Gladwell.

The #1 point is that even if this guy was a burglar, you don't grab your gun and chase after him. They had cars and phones. That should have been enough to keep track of him while calling the police.

I don't know how much if anything race had to do with it, but they both belong in jail. The left isn't going to get the mileage they want out of this if they are duly imprisoned and prosecuted. Very few people are going to side with these guys.

I think you’re going to be surprised. There’s not a shooting by someone tangentially connected to LE that the Poliboard can’t manufacture a justification for.

The cover up/failure to prosecute is the bigger story than just these 2 guys. And people are naive if they think shite like this is limited to Brunswick, GA.

I really do shudder to imagine the shite that went on in the rural south back in the day.

If interested, I'd highly recommend Devil in the Grove. Willis McCall down in Lake County, FL. Ugh.

The Brunswick DA had it and sent it to the Waycross DA due to a conflict of interest since the dad retired as an investigator out of that office. The Waycross DA had it and then found a conflict of interest and it went to the Atlantic DA (Hinesville) who said he was empaneling a GJ this week.

Also, for clarification, the GBI is a request-only agency. They have to have a valid request from a Sheriff, Chief or DA to investigate a crime. This third DA who just got the case decided to ask the GBI to open a case.

That's one of the reasons why whenever someone asks me what period in history I'd like to have lived in if I could time travel or whatever, my answer is always right fricking now
