My concern is we are weakening ourselves to put China or Russia or everyone to try to invade the US while we are concentrating on Iran.
What's wrong with you? Invade the US? How the heck do you think either of those countries, or any other country, is going to cross the Atlantic or Pacific oceans? Nobody has the resources to do that. And if they did all these gun owners will bring out the PBR and be shooting the invaders for sport.
I read something that said private citizens in the US own far more firearms and ammunition than the entire US military, by a lot. Don't know if true, but I know some people and I believe it.

Do you know where they are located?
Try that first before acknowledging you never home.

Many deep east Texans would pray for the opportunity to employ their drones and attempt to burn through their lifetime collection of ammo while protecting the homeland. I always laughed at these threads.

Typical BS from unnamed non existing sources.
It’s too bad we have readers that go work each, working from the cubical, giving their spouse a peek on the cheek going to work and coming back home everyday…..that no idea where defense contractors are located and no idea about the work load or the juggling match to meet the DOD demands. But they’ll believe this shite everyday.

Replacing a 20% supply of one of our many weapons of war….. not so much.
Yeah, things can be hard. We should never be in a position to run out of any armament when we decide to go to war. It seems the Iranians stocked up on one way drones and ballistic missiles.
We've also lost a few airplanes that were parked on the ground. What's up with that?

They are. In south Arkansas, they've been hiring thousands for several years and will be adding thousands more. Just L3 Harris/Aerojet will be adding about 1600 in the next two years. 1-2k at Lockhead. 300-400 at General Dynamics. Raytheon doubling in size here and have a joint venture with Raphael, an Israeli company, to build iron dome and David's sling. We're looking at 4-5k permanent jobs and who knows how many to build out the huge expansions.
The US Navy plans to replace the Tomahawk in 2028-2030. They will replace the Tomahawk with the Next Generation Land Attack Weapon (NG-LAW).

In our war games with China we run out of conventional munitions within 4 weeks.
How fast do they run out?
And I’m sorry - if this is true, we should be rioting in the streets. Our military budget dwarfs the majority of countries in the world combined. Where the hell is our money going if the military is inadequately prepared for any and all potential conflicts?

We shouldn't be in Iran because they will rebound and replace their army, navy, missiles, drones, and all the factories they use to make them very quickly, but we will be years away from replacing our munitions that we used to bomb them back to the stone age.
The OP and those that think like him are clinically retarded. They repeat whatever propaganda they are told with zero ciritical thinking, mostly because they lack the educational foundation to challenge themselves in such endeavors.

The four-week conflict with Iran has so far consumed more than a whopping 850 Tomahawk missiles, officials have stated.
At $4m a pop, thats 3.4 billion dollars just on tomahawks.

I don’t know where the parking lots you are talking about are.

This makes sense because Tomahawk missiles have a lifespan of 20-30 years depending on routine maintenance. Sounds like the Navy is disposing of them at Iran’s expense to make room for the NG-LAW.

I can point out five in Pinellas County alone. There are five Georgia.
Like I said….have to travel to see the ebb and flow of hiring.

Good deal.
Time to make some more.

If we wouldn’t have sent so many to Ukraine under Biden, we would have plenty

I guess we will just have to make more then?
The Tomahawk's terrain mapping routine was very high tech at the time. It could be done better and cheaper today, but I doubt the MIC will go for lower cost and better effectiveness.

the Tomahawk emerged in the 1970s as a modular cruise missile first manufactured by General Dynamics. Early tests of the missile took place between 1983 and 1993, during which time 23 cruise missiles were tested over northern Canada under the "Canada–U.S. Test and Evaluation Program"
