This is what I want to know more about. Was this a planned thing for some PR or was this who they had available?

Her parents have had to live an agonizing life because of their daughter's actions and this just made it worse for them. I have no sympathies for the woman, but if I step into her parent's shoes they are living in hell right now.

Government cant even kill someone on death row and libs want to put them in charge of everyone's health care.
This is the takeaway here.

You know. What I want to know is how hanging was deemed "cruel and unusual" while it was actually being done at the time of the drafting of the constitution and while the founders were in government and for years afterwards.
Meanwhile "separation of church and state" is derived from a solitary letter that Jefferson wrote.

Just curious, but would you be ok with the warden going into her cell and stabbing her 100 times in the face and heart?
With this case, there appears to be blurred lines between punishment and revenge.

She asked for this but I’ve seen reports that it didn’t happen.

This. injection doesn't work? Pull out a gun and end it. Either way, there should never be a "botched execution." And that bitch should be executed.

I reluctantly agree with you. I wish it weren't so accurate, but it is.
The solution is simple. Every state should default to long drop hanging. This is a relatively inexpensive, relatively foolproof method of execution.
Allow the condemned to select firing squad as an alternate. This is a simple additional duty that any State's elite police unit could train on.
Then we're not mucking about with electricity, gas, lethal drugs, gurneys or medical professionals - beyond the simple confirmation that the sentence has been carried out.
We never should have complicated something so simple as execution. Folks have been getting executed (rightfully in many cases) since the dawn of man.

Are we? Really? There are many examples of the laws being just randomly applied and localities blanketly deciding to ignore them.

No, we have to overcomplicate it and now she’s in the hospital with brain damage

Yes, there are many instances of officials seemingly ignoring laws.
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't follow our laws.
To be clear, I think states should enact laws that provide for hanging or execution by bullet or whatever necessary, in the event of a failed execution. But until that happens, we should follow existing law.

Yes, and I absolutely agree that she should die.
The law also provides for methods of executions.
Just as the state should follow the law that she should be executed, the state should also follow the law that provides for the method of execution.

Nah. Just execute her. That's the extent of the law that should be followed.
