Presidents have ALWAYS had special privileges not bestowed to the average citizen. Try dropping a bomb on Germany and see what happens to you.
This ruling protects Obama as well, I'm not sure this is being made clear in media. He ordered the killing of an American citizen abroad, while denying his rightful due diligence in the court of law. I'm not making the case that it wasn't necessary, just that well.. technically that would be murder.

They do, they will and they always have. As the commander of the US Military you have to have the powers to carry out duties that are just far different than that of a citizen. They are granted broad immunity to trespass, imprison, kill... and we need to them to be able to do this with impunity as it is sometimes called for.
