I know right? All these folks holding white collar jobs who may enjoy a little green to take the edge off after a week of dealing with corporate bullshite.

No no, they should be taking antidepressents according to the boomer conservatives because weed is evil at the same time saying they avoided the jab because they hate big pharma.

Hypocrites.

The only reason they have made it federally illegal is because they cannot figure out a sufficent way to capture taxes on growers and be able to enforce it.

I'm not convinced the pharma lobby isn't partially responsible as well.

Nope, can't use evil weed for pain relief. Here, take this Oxycotin, oh it's safe, the FDA approved it!

I’m just not willing to risk it. They drug test way too much in my industry. It’s bullshite though but I’m not risking a relationship and lots of money over weed.

Depends. Sure, you wouldn't want people operating heavy machinery or first responders blazing up. No different than alcohol, I wouldn't want someone under the influence putting others in danger.

No disagreement from me, but I’m not advocating for going to work high. That’s not even the problem though. The problem are people smoking on the weekends or something, then 3 weeks later getting fired because they failed a drug test. That’s BS in my mind. I could do cocaine and a few days later piss clean. Isn’t the same with weed. They can do cheek swab tests for weed and I think that’s what they should do, instead of urine and hair tests.

Some high paying jobs out there don't drug test and if they do they don't care about weed. It's legal in most states in one form or another anyway

Not in Louisiana though because too many people bought into the reefer madness, including our democrats who are supposed to be the pro weed group.

Same thing is true in many big cities.

I don’t believe it should be illegal, but damn if that smell isn’t annoying and everywhere you go at night.

went to vegas in the summer and fremont was almost unbearable. every other store was a cannibus store and homeless and mental patients everywhere.

i still dont think it should be illegal but jesus the shite stinks. should be similar to alcohol, cant have it in public.

I get it

I'm just saying there are some very good jobs out there that don't require drug testing

You think people working at a hedge fund are getting random drug tests like they're some crane operator?

I think most reasonable people would be ok with this type of regulation

It’s funny how many people say “Weed is bad and shouldn’t be legalized” then in the same sentence talk about how they drink a case of beer every night and are hungover af while working at the refinery.

its the law in most places.

They recently passed a regulation allowing on site consumption for the tourists. But I haven't smelled weed on the street since its been legal. I do smell it in my building.

And those people are a much bigger safety threat in the workplace and on the road
