I have not heard of an exit wound. Bullets do very strange things when hitting bone inside the body.

but shooting someone in the neck with a high powered rifle would leave a pretty big exit wound and would have been evident in the video.
It doesn't have to. It could easily be a caliber sized exit hole or even smaller. It was most likely below his shirt collar as well because of the angle.

People forget about the cavitation damage that occurs to non visible tissues:
Yep. If you frame by frame the videos, Charlie’s neck just about doubles in size at impact. I believe he took the full force of the shot directly to the neck. What happens from there, we don’t have any clue yet.

dont overthink this. He was probably aiming for the head or for center mass and missed by a few inches. He's a kid about to murder someone and sign his own death warrant. Trigger control is going to be an issue.

The weakest 30.06 that I could find ballistic charts for hits with 1,900 ft/lbs of energy at 200 yards. The Buffalo Bore hits with over 2,500 ft/lbs. Human bones won't even slow it down, much less stop it. That's about 5 to 6 TIMES the energy of defensive 9mm loads at the muzzle. That round didn't stop.
