He was mentally ill and wanted to frick up as much shite as he could before dying. Its what these people do. He thought the best way to be recognized and to get back at all the people that did him wrong, was to do something big. Personally, I am glad he didn't choose to shoot up the school, which I bet was top of mind until he decided on this
