Draconian you may not want a compliment from me, but IMO you are one of the better posters on this board, maybe the best. I don't always agree with you but you always display intelligence and thoughtfulness in your posts. And you are clearly an independent thinker and not part of the echo chamber.

Ive never met a single feminist who wants equality for men and women.

I wonder what % of young, single women are simply too naive to figure out that liberals are just using them as a pawn?
Hate to say it, but I know it's a fairly significant number.

just fyi
if you want to get into the basis of lib-prog ideology, you have to remember this: their belief system is not based in individual decision making. their belief system is based in a societal view based on institutions
so, like in that description of radical feminists, you see their reliance on "patriarchy". that is the institutional cause. individual behaviors do not matter, only the institutional causes
if you ever need to describesuch a belief system, remember this
it also helps when discussing issues with libprogs

the question is what kind of equality?

i've always thought it was bizarre how conservatives want to deny the existence, or at the very least the influence, of societal institutions. It strikes me as extremely naive as does this pathological attachment to the purity of the "free market", as if profit motives alone will solve every societal problem. It's a completely delusional thought process.

I will apply it to all Democrats. Kinda like Democrats apply the idea that all women who get raped deserve it to all Republicans.
You win the internet.

you mean like country clubs? the rotary? cliques in school?
or government?

well you have to remember, profits only come about after service. and homeostasis is death. it's not about profit motive, it's about continuous, systematic development of serving the population
groups that are under-represented politically are still able to be represented in the free market

I mean, they say they want equality sure. Their actions and individual ideas on various topics do not bare that out however.
Just like the patriarchy they fight, feminism strives for a system that rewards women in many ways simply because they are women.

I only really interact with libprogs on this board tbh. I don't discuss politics at work and I only hang out with sane people IRL.

i used to be a huge liberal, so i understand them on a personal level (i'm good at understanding people in general, but this is much more detailed)
