huh? the study was just about how many "rapes" go unreported. the CDC information was used to compare various measuring sources, namely with the FBI database on rape investigations by police forces.

I wouldn't accept something as fact because one study says X. But when you have many studies (conducted by varying organizations) that say X, it becomes much more likely that X or something very close to it is actually happening.
We can't know *exactly* how prevalent the crime of rape is. We can't know for sure *exactly* how many people were murdered last year either (some disappear and are never found, some of those people were killed and some just abandoned their lives).

what fuels all social justice warriors?
they have a set of beliefs, and will do whatever is necessary to promote those beliefs. they see problems, and will do whatever is possible to enact that change. it's human bias. i just don't know why you accept it in one sphere but refuse to accept it in another

you have studies agreeing with general concept x, but are reporting quantities of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc

the study you linked is just one source using one methodology to estimate a guess (and their interchanging use of rape and sexual assault is the primary method to manipulate the data)
there are others who estimate guesses, also.
