Marginally better than getting shot while blindfolded against the wall, living for days with the terror that it's coming, and hearing those next to you getting shot progressively coming closer to you.

We have to get them shooting guns so they will stand up to the next anti-gun pretty boy running for office.

I get it. On the surface getting rid of guns seems logical, until one looks deeper. Criminals don't get their guns by legal means, so more gun laws will do nothing except punish law abiding tax payers. The supreme law of the United States, the Constitution, states gun ownership is a right that shall not be infringed upon. Politicians should be concerned with the social conditions that cause gun violence and those whom commit the majority of gun crimes.

But the percentage of women who don't like men telling them what to do with their bodies is even higher. As long as Republicans are passing archaic abortion regulations, women will continue to vote for politicians that favor gun control.

Who’s forcing women to get pregnant? And don’t play the rape card that’s like a tenth of one percent of abortions

You people are already trying to come after "assault rifles" even though you cannot define one.

Speech is on the block, they want your kids to be gender neutral...

Shoot back. You have that power.

Great way to limit damages not prevent them. In the best scenario.

In the worst case scenario we’ve seen armed police offers fail to stop shooters.

No the people they get them from do. They aren’t being built at home or smuggled into the country.

Funny thing is I have been shot at quite a few times (sort of comes with the former job as a Marine Infantry Officer) but never at a mall. Now if you listen to MSM this is a daily event instead of extremely rare…..

So let’s make the laws much more draconian for those with illegally obtained fire arms? And I am not meaning locking you up in a nice AC prison with cable TV. I am talking about Old Testament level and we ignore the ACLU. Prison camps with tents and cots where they have to work in the fields chained to a 25 lbs ball. Imagine if they had that to look forward too.

I would say the situation is worse. When I was a kid, EVERY single kid I grew up with hunted. Saturdays and Sundays were days spent in the woods with Dad's learning how to hunt, how to shoot, etc.

Fast forward, I have to call parents whenever my kid invites a friend to our farm because there are firearms there. Most are cool, but some ask if the guns are locked in a secure safe.

It's a different world these days.

I do too. I ask if they own guns. If they do not, my kid can not hang with their kid.

It doesn't matter. Pro-Choice people don't typically view the baby inside the womb as a human being with a right to life, ergo in their mind it's a medical procedure same as any other private medical issue that is no one else's business.

Pro-Life people very obviously believe the baby inside the womb is a human being with a right to life. With that thought process, taking that life is by definition murder.

How does an individual compromise on this issue with either belief above? I'm not sure you can other than a socially agreed upon "life starts at xxxx", which seems pretty impossible in this country.

The best "compromise" is what's already happened. The feds stay out of it completely and let the states decide.

This. You want the female vote? Abortion is what'll get it for you. Everything else is irrelevant.

Criminals often view your property as fair game if you can't prevent them from taking it by force.

So what?

Because they choose to view it that way and have no objective values.
