After that post, I can say that you aren’t impressing me with your intellect either.

No, we don't like tariffs. That is why we support a President who is finally doing something about them. President Trump has said all along: We will drop ours when they drop theirs. It's the only way that's worked in many, many years

YOU generalize too much. I hope whatever insecurity that prompted this self-serving post is salved in the near future.

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the the letter Q. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

I took some artistic liberties with the above

The media makes you think everything is more dire today because that’s how they draw you in

Agree with you here

This fear is born out of an inability to set politics aside and just live and enjoy the world, its places and its people the way you should

Comes to a politcal board to make generalizations (quite extensively, while vilifying the broad applications of such by others concurrently) about people he has never met...

Jackass,

You dropped this on us:

quote:

Psychologists have shown humans are poor judges of their own abilities.

Then proceeded to preach from above for several paragraphs, proving the point quoted above, and give your opinion that the left hasn't moved, which is demonstrably false.

Try again.

You fear a world where you are safer, richer, and freer than you have been at any time in the past. This fear is born out of an inability to set politics aside and just live and enjoy the world, its places and its people the way you should. Travel more. For anyone who doesn't know the moniker "Ken M" is synonymous with online trolling.

it's synonymous with GOOD online trolling. not this try-hard cringefest.

he debuted Ken M on the OT after the popularity of the real Ken M reached a fever pitch. he attempted to be funny and aloof like his hero but bombed fantastically and was run off. i cringed when i read his posts then, and i continue to cringe today.

like the liberals he admires, he takes what the real Ken M worked to create and runs it into the ground.

You should go back and type in (not I) after every instance of the word "you" in that diatribe. Then maybe you'll realize how cringy it was.

You believe the left has moved to some extreme ideological place, yet the truth is that neither party is any more extreme today than it was in the past. You have had populists like Long, social programs fathers like Roosevelt, the lead through Jesus type politicians like Goldwater, and racists like Duke. Newsflash, neither party is more extreme today than they were in the past.

I'm sure there have been periods when the two main parties have gotten along better and worse than currently... we're not quite in a civil war yet (at least not openly).

That being said, in the past couple decades or so, it's gotten to the point where the Republicans and Democrats won't go to lunch with one another the way they used to sometimes do... And the DNC (I think it's the DNC, someone can correct me if I'm wrong) won't even agree to play a good-natured--let's put our differences aside for a day because we're all Americans-- softball game this year. So, perhaps things have been worse before, but they are getting worse again. These things aren't static, which makes you wrong.
