Fairy tale. There were trade routes between Egypt and Canaan. All they had to do was follow the coast.
Two myths.
Moses is “son of” in Egyptian. Son of whom? Thut? Ra? Son of some Egyptian god.
Joshua son of Nun. What is Nun? The fish. Another way to say fish in Hebrew is “Dag”. Joshua was a folk hero, a demigod who was the son of Dagon the fish god. Dagon was worshipped throughout Canaan as a minor deity and was the patron deity of the Peleset (philistines).
Both Moses and Joshua led Egypt out of Egypt into Canaan. Both had to take off their shoes because they were standing on holy ground. Both parted a body of water so that people could cross. The parallels don’t end there. They were both mythological.
