Weapons will be taken. If the Russians are smart I would imagine they will have their own humanitarian aid setup for the citizens to provide what they need. When the siege has taken its toll on them they will be searching for food and water & will not care where it comes from.

They showed photos of soldiers handing out aid in Kherson today.

I've been wondering what will happen when Russia refuses to let humanitarian aid into Kyiv. They're running low on food & medicine already...and that's without being surrounded.

Yeah, If this becomes mass suffering and watching a siege on Twitter with Russia denying any aid be given......it becomes a matter of time before someone cracks and goes in... ..that's a scary scenario.

Yeah seems like once they take a city they're gonna impose a bunch of martial law restrictions to prevent gathering and slow any kind of movements but they need to gain support of population if they want to keep it long term.

Also seen a video of Chechen fighters leading a family out of a combat zone. Had nice propaganda background music playing.

1) Implications of the fall of Kherson.
The city of Kherson, with 300,000 people, is the largest to go under Russian control since the war began. The fact that it fell so quickly, with minimal fighting, is troubling and may have dire implications for the UKR govt.

quote:

2) If - a big if - the Russians can administer the city with a light hand, provide food and aid to its people, and limit reprisals, it will set an example for other Ukrainian cities under seige or threat that surrender is an option. If other cities follow, UKR govt is in trouble.

quote:

3) Additionally, the road to Odesa, the only remaining major port on the Black Sea under Ukrainian control, is now open. Russian troops can now focus on Odesa and Mykolaiv, which is north of Kherson. Russia will be essentially be in control of Ukraine's Black Sea infrastructure.

quote:

4) If the Russians can secure Odesa and Mykolaiv, which is north of Kherson, Russian forces can begin a northward push to link up with forces near Kiev, which would cut the country in half.

quote:

5) An operation of that magnitude will take time and resources. It is approximately 300 miles from Odesa to Kiev.

They'll cut all communications but they're propaganda by the time the siege of Kiev is under full swing . This is gonna be brutal.

They're starting to hype the amount of civilian casualties on CNN......according to ole Wolfy it's a war against civilians....

The civil administration in Kherson is still running the city. Judging from the videos, it's very calm.

Of course he is. The more civilians killed by Russia the better for him. His only hope is getting enough bodies to get the west into the war.

I mean the Russian army is just malnourished conscripts that just flee at the sound of fire, are civilian soldiers effective against the Russian Air Force?

Fox News’ Sean Hannity suggests NATO should launch a strike on the 40-mile-long Russian convoy headed towards Kyiv.

He says members state should deny it so Putin wouldn’t know who to retaliate against.

Maybe Sean Hannity needs to sign his arse up and go get up after it if thinks that is a good idea.

The green soldiers he sent into Ukraine aren't a good representation of their army. They are just weeding out the new recruits and getting them some active combat experience. His crack troops will go in last and are mostly being held out in case the west gets involved.
