It looks like the video showing Ukrainians executing Russians after an ambush is legit LINK
They geolocated the video and may have identified some of the soldiers
Btw for the "western media is lies" people, this was done by the NYT
The most damning part of the video is that you can clearly see that at least one of the Russians has his hands tied. Killing the (probably) mortally wounded Russian.. meh. Maybe technically not legal but morally I think a mercy killing is understandable. Maybe it's a gray area at best.
But killing someone who has their hands tied.. that's a pretty clear sign of an illegal execution of a prisoner of war
Broken clock is right twice a day.
Ukrainian military and government is a joke. They commit same acts they bitch about. It almost reminds me of someone back home in the US. I can't put my finger on it, but I know I'm familiar with this playbook.

Those who live in glass houses...
I'm pretty sure this is the case with pretty much every military/government since the Geneva Convention.
When was the last war that the US fought in that some US soldiers were not convicted of war crimes? There were some in Afghanistan, Iraq (2003), and Vietnam. Were there any convinctions in Desert Storm? Not sure about that one--it was pretty short and there was no extended occupation so maybe not
Ukraine should investigate and enforce their laws. If they do so, that would be more than Russia has done...

Don't hold your breath.
There was knee-capping POW video, now this disturbing clip you posted.
Ukrainian troops and mercs they hired are obviously dumber than Russian military by posting this on social media. They either expect to die, or have no fear of consequences when war ends.
Oh, and let's give a dishonorable mention to the Ukrainian doctor on TV that Tucker ran a segment on that said Russian POW's should be castrated since they are cockroaches.
So you should probably stop white knighting side that openly embraced war crimes.

Unfortunately for Russia, the standards for war crimes don’t favor the aggressors… that worked in their favor in WW2… god only knows the atrocities the red army inflicted in eastern Germany/prussia in the push for Berlin. History has largely let Russia/Soviets off the hook.
Neither side should engage in war crimes…. But the invaders never get the benefit of the doubt like the defenders will.

Go look up Katyn Forrest. The Russians killed and buried 22,000 Poles there when they invaded Poland in 1939. What happened in the Ukraine isn’t out of character for Russia.

No question russia has pretty poor human rights history… POWs from napoleons grand army to hitlers weirmacht just disappeared and never made it home…. the kossacks are known for their brutality… but only this time they’re fighting against Russia, not for it.

Yeah, well they didn't TitTok and Telgram their war crimes.
Didn't Tarantino glamorize Inglorious Bastards? Nazis were dehumanized by the West and Russia, so I wouldn't look at WWII for analogies and examples to draw.
The amounts of suffering and deaths are incomprehensible in today's conflicts.

There’s a difference between the videos. One showed 2 prisoners of war being shot in the leg, likely killing them. The other is just people dead in the street in a war zone with no context. This is likely a response to cover for the horrible shite that the Ukrainians did. It very well could have happened, but there is no substantial evidence, and Ukraine’s credibility is less than worthless

quote:Why wouldn't they be compatible? There are over 100,000 Russians in Ukraine. They can be doing all different kinds of things. What one unit does in a village in Zaporizhzhia Oblast could be very different from what a unit east of Kyiv does. The former has solid supply lines from Crimea, the latter had supply lines that snaked hundreds of kilometers through uncontrolled territory. Convoys were getting ambushed all the time in the north. If supplies get cut, then the Russians have to choose: freeze your asses off, or supply yourselves (read: loot from locals).
Two narratives don't seem compatible.
Looting appears to have been fairly widespread around Kyiv. It's easy to find photos/videos of abandoned/ambushed vehicles that have some pretty odd items--washing machines, computer screens, toys, shampoo bottles, and even women's sanitary pads in one case that I saw.

Looting is an indication of poor supply lines. The reason Russians had to loot is because their convoys were getting blown up by NATO/US supplied ATGMs. When it's cold and you have nothing to eat, are they suppose to hunt and fish for food? Germans looted same way on their way to Moscow- it wasn't because they wanted babushka's extra marinated pickles with cabbage, but because they were starving.
Then jumping from looting to murder for recreation and rape is a massive leap. I can't rule out criminal behavior by Russian forces, but I'm not accepting Ukrainian propaganda at face value. They have no credibility and have every incentive to make up and exaggerate reports.

Another day, another shelling of Donetsk. It's like Ukraine is trying to remind what was the original pre-text for this war.
There are no strategic targets where they shell. They just do it out of spite or can't zero their artillery properly.

Ukraine's forces and government are hypocrites and I don't have any sympathy to spare. I do feel bad for regular people on both sides.

Haha ok, my dad had thousands of airmen under him. Hate to break it to you, but it doesn't take a genius to understand the strategies being used here.
