We had been in the war for over a year when Kasserine Pass happened and had yet to actually fight the Germans in a significant battle prior to February 1943. It was also a purely defensive battle.

Operation Torch was our first offensive campaign against the Vichy French. There were hardly any Germans in Morocco, Algeria, and Oran when Allied troops landed in North Africa in November 1942. And when the Germans finally showed up when we pushed into Tunisia, they mostly sparred with the British and Free French. American forces mostly squared off against the Italians. It wasn't until the Battle of Kasserine Pass in February 1943 that we actually fought the Germans in a major engagement.
And while we were on the strategic offensive in Tunisia (despite the fact that the front had settled into a virtual stalemate by that time), the Battle of Kasserine Pass featured the U.S. II Corps on the tactical defensive.

In first release of troop casualties since start of invasion, President Vladimir Zelenskyy said an estimated 1300 Ukrainian troops had been killed.

Not sure where you’re getting 3 to 4 times; the last estimate I saw, by Ukraine of course, indicated Russia has 12,000 dead.

Unfollowed them after they left game footage up as legit Ukraine footage for 4-5 days. They seem to be repeat offenders.

Operation Torch was the first major offensive against the Krauts. But, Kasserine pass was the first significant battle within that operation.

Pretty significant losses for Ukraine after Russian airstrikes on a training base near Lviv.

Look, I am not saying that I am for takings without due process and just compensation at a minimum, especially not by foreign governments.
I am saying that boat is Beelzebub's Ferry and must be destroyed.
That, and that the 19th Amendment must be repealed.
