Jumping the shark now
Iran is about to get unfathomable amounts of money
Iran proved it can defend itself at any time with minimal cost
Iran showed the Arab Gulf States can't do shite to them and are incredibly weak
Iran lost meatsuits and easily-replaceable infrastructure/military equipment
Iran now exists without sanctions, gets access to $100B (58x what was released via Obama's deal) and possibly $300B more in loans from countries who are imponent to collect (if it came to that).
Iran is going to print money selling oil, and China now can legally do business with Iran in the open and secure that oil.

We just watched the US drop bombs on them for weeks at a time with impunity. This is the dumbest frickin shite I've ever read.

Then why did we get such a terrible deal if our win was so decisive?

There's a reason he's making Vance sign and not doing his usual theatrical signing with a pen giveaway meeting.

Oof that's a rough run. Let's see how people try to spin this as an amazing deal.

Back your claim. Explain to us exactly how Iran just "defended itself." They just got their arse kicked up and down the desert and it could have been a whole hell of a lot worse.

They shut down the SOH
We could not stop them from doing so and oil shipments through the SOH decreased dramatically.

Then why did we capitulate?

This is not them defending themselves. Do you understand what the word even means?

It got the US to stop bombing Iran. Sounds like good defensive strategy to a rational person.

In denial about what? What Vance said?

I give Trump credit for avoiding a ground war when escalation was the only way out that would save face, it cant have been easy to accept.
That said I just cant pretend this deal isnt so bad for us that it will carry ramifications for the next 20 years plus in that region.
Our best option IMO now is to build a pipeline to transit fuel so that tankers can fuel and exit on both sides of the strait if needed without being subject to Iranian attacks in the future.
If that infrastructure were in place currently their leverage would decrease massively particularly if accompanied by missile defense installations at the port facilities.

Assumptions. It's really all you have. You're also assuming that the deal is a bad deal. The truth is, you don't know shite. The particulars are still under negotiation.

Where is that number coming from…and the lifting of sanctions moving forward does not necessarily mean we give them assets that were taken because of past sanctions.

As an aside, I see lots of neocon-lite types who bashed JD Vance for his reservations about the Iran campaign now blaming JD Vance for a less than spectacular deal.
He was the voice of reason and should be credited for ending this. But, the spin now is that it's a bad deal and he is a moron for obtaining these terms.
We never had the cards and I think that's why much of this board is stunned. I listened to people say for three months that it was going poorly, which is why I'm not angry now.

What’s the reason? Bottom rung.

This is a bad deal, but yes, invasion would have been much worse. They chose the best of what options they had, which were all bad.
Why you don't start wars in the ME, especially with Iran.

I said this earlier, we're in a race now. The race is to see if SA and the Gulf states can create enough pipeline to avoid the SOH before Iran develops a nuke with all this money they're about to have.
